Name: Coach theme leather sun key ring
seller: sheri98908

The picture I have in my file has different colors and a different hangtag.

Crikey, the listing's gone already. But I think I know what it would have looked like. We saw quite a few fakes of that style about 11 or 12 years ago.

ETA - Glad to see that BeenBurned posted a photo at the Hall of Shame. Those pink bits are a dead giveaway. And like she said, the actual production version reversed 2 of the colors inside the "flames" compared to the pre-release pics, here are Coach's drilldown and website pre-production version on top and below it is the actual genuine production Sun Keyfob. Pink was never used in any of the genuine fobs.

I suspect that someone reported it.

I posted that listing (and the pictures) on the HOS:

For the record, this is Coach's stock image vs. the authentic product:

Perhaps I'm off-base here and if so, I apologize but with a poster and a Facebook seller with such similar IDs, I can't help but assume you're posting your own listings.

While here on Coach, I appreciate sellers who try to do their due diligence and will help authenticate their items, TPF rules disallow the posting of your own items.

In the future, if you have items for which you need authentications, please just post pictures and not links to where the items are being sold.

Oh, I'm sorry for the confusion! I was not the seller, and they were not my items (although I did go and buy them that afternoon, so they're mine now!), the seller and I just happened to have similar names. I posted the link because the first post in the thread says that if the bag is not on an auction site, to provide a link, if you have one, and then any pictures you might have. I'm sorry if I misunderstood the directions, and broke TPF rules.

For clarification, is it okay to post the link to another seller's listing -- just not your own? I just want to double check, since I appreciate all you do and wouldn't want to break the rules. :)

Thank you!

Yes, you can post a link to another seller's listing.

No problem! You didn't break the rules and are welcome to post anytime.

And BTW, I'm impressed that you read and followed the first post! Many seasoned TPF members fail to read it!

Yes, it's absolutely OK to post links to another seller's listing - in fact it's required for authentications. This isn't Ebay's Discussion "forums" where posting a link gets you pink-slapped or your post deleted. Check the Rules laid down in Post number One of this thread - links, item number, URL, seller's selling ID and a full set of photos either in the link itself or obtained by the poster from the seller or directly from the item purchased.

BTW, almost every brand name forum here has its own set of rules for authentications so always check the first post in ANY authentication forum where you need to ask for help. Many "stickied" or "pinned" threads including the busier authentication threads will have rules posted that must be followed, some forums won't even give you any kind of reply unless their rules are followed to the letter.

Hi ladies,
This is interesting hardware on this Sonoma:
Vtg Coach 6802 Classic Sonoma Tan BEIGE Pebbled Leather Crossbody Shoulder Bag
Seller : save.me.the.money (3258)
eBay item number:322452359973
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-Coach-6...359973?hash=item4b13a88b25:g:aA8AAOSwsW9YyEyj
Seller has interesting moniker.
Wish I could find a sage green Sonoma in a style I like.

It's not a Sonoma, it's a Hudson - Hudson Pocket Zip from 1999. It's similar to the Sonoma Pocket Zip.

As I said somewhere in these forums just within the last week, other lines have used the same striped lining. That doesn't mean they're all Sonomas.

For the record, save.me.the.money had this listing for a fake a couple of weeks ago.
