I'm a bit jittery about buying secondhand bags online cos I had a bad experience with Modnique.com. Purchased a fake Celine tote. They refunded me the money eventually but I spent about USD150 for the return shipping. Also had a hard time getting my GST refunded. :sweatdrop:

I read some post here that said Potero.com sold some fakes so that doesn't make it any less worrying.

I really have 0 experience with Chanel bags. I guess it'll take some time before I can differentiate the real ones form the fake ones.

The bag you purchased from Modnique.com was deemed authentic by two authenticators on the Celine Authentication thread. I can't comment on the GST because it wasn't posted here for authentication. Buying on the secondary market is not for everyone. For the avoidance of doubt, perhaps you should buy directly from the boutique.

Just a word of caution, there are a ton of incorrect 'guides' on the internet.

Yes, the bag I purchased seemed authentic if you solely rely on the photographs but the biggest giveaway was the material. it wasn't leather - it was actually PVC.

I requested Modnique to double check and to let me know whether my claim that the bag is fake is correct but they did not reply. On top of that, they didn't insist that I settle for store credit even though the bag wasn't entitled cash refund. I am really thankful that I got my money back.

For confirmation, ask the seller for a clear and in focus picture of the hologram sticker and the MADE IN stamp. When you receive the pictures please repost with the online listing details.

thank you so much, I'm dying for one of these bags but for under $8,000 lol! The listing is gone now so i guess thats a good indicator too...
you want me to post a picture of the serial number on here from the listing? what if there is not one?
