Hi, due to the proliferation of super fakes circulating on the secondary marketplace, I will no longer authenticate Classic and Reissue Flap Bags from 15 million series and beyond. For a small fee of $5-$7 you may want to consider using a third party authentication service such as Authenticate4U.com.

Note: Pic 7 appears to have a black line across the CHANEL stamp but it's not visible in pic 10. It could be a shadow or the angle though.

Hi, just thought I let you know regular authenticators on this thread do not authenticate closed, ended, private or "offline" listings, but you may want to consider using an authentication service for a small fee, such as Authenticate4U.com or Etincelerauthentications.com

The detail show an authentic bag but you may want to ask the seller to reveal all the numbers on the hologram sticker.

Why are you concerned? They are a Chanel reseller. Buying on the secondary market isn't for everyone.

I would like to second CB's comment and to add that Fashionhulu is a very reputable seller. They are also very honest about disclosing things on their listings, condition, etc. I would support their integrity 100 percent.

Thanks colourful belle. I was not aware that Fashionhulu was a reputable seller. You just can't be too careful nowadays. I've bought chanel bags from the secondary market before. It's really the only way I can afford Chanel. Thank you so much for authenticating. I truly appreciate it. :)

No problem at all! :p I was just wanting to vouch for them because there are a lot of questionable sellers out there... and buying a pre-owned Chanel online is certainly not for the faint of heart. You are absolutely right - can't be too careful nowadays, and the best defense weapon you have is to be well-equipped, with knowledge, process, and resources. Go with the right sellers, and there is at least a guarantee that even in the slimmest chance something goes wrong, you know they will make good on their word. That is the best you can hope for, but for many, that is enough. I am a great big fan of pre-owned luxury shopping, and try to "enable" it as much as I can. The barrier is not being equipped with the right knowledge to know how to go about or where to go, who to go to, and how to resolve issues (when they occur), and hopefully this forum is helpful for that! That's what we're here for. :smile1: You are doing the right thing, always getting items authenticated prior to purchase.

Roku you are so right. I've read about so many horror stories when it comes to purchasing online. People paying top dollar for things that are sold as authentic only to be a replica (yuck!). One question: why do some sellers block out the serial numbers of bags? Why is that necessary?

You're welcome. Some sellers block out serial numbers because there are unscrupulous sellers stealing their pictures to prop up their fake bags.

The bag pictured with serial number 4345530 is authentic.

Please be aware that it is the preference of the authenticators on this thread to give authentication to members who post in a range of threads and not just requesting free authentication for designer items. I would therefore encourage you to partake in the PF community.
