Hello! can someone authenticate this bag for me thank you!

Item: Chanel Pink Mini Caviar Flap

Listing number:281197856584

Seller: instyle.cali

Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281197856584?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Comments:I already pay for it I just want to double check its authenticity thank you so much

It looks like this listing has already ended. Sorry, the regular authenticators here only authenticate live listings. Please consider using an authentication service as I and the other regular authenticators on this thread do not authenticate those. The spirit of my feedback is to provide informed opinions for prospective buyers prior to their making a purchasing decision.

Hi there. Would appreciate your help to verify the authenticity of this bag

Item: Chanel Classic Jumbo Flap Handbag Purse 2.55 Almost PERFECT Used Condition!!!
Listing number: 291014040577
Seller: dawnd1080

Comments: Seller had a negative review for selling another Chanel that may not be authentic. However, based on the seller's response, it appears that the seller had already highlighted that it may not be authentic in the description.

Thanks in advance!

The bag pictured in the auction is authentic. Re the seller's response to the negative feedback - disclaimer of authenticity is not permitted on eBay and it is illegal to sell fakes, so whether you're comfortable buying from a seller who possibly mixes fake and authentic is your prerogative.
My opinion of the seller is a bit stronger than CB's for a couple of reasons.

Never base your confidence in a seller on the fact that she claims to be an "active TPF member." Anyone can join TPF and there's absolutely no vetting of honesty or integrity in order to join. Also, anyone can claim to be a TPF member when in fact, they might not be.

Confidence should be based on the listing, pictures and an evaluation of the seller's history, feedback and possible responses to feedback.

And in the case of dawnd1080, I highly doubt that she's a member and if so, she probably isn't active. No active member of TPF would respond to a negative feedback justifying that she sold a fake by including an authenticity disclaimer in her listing(s). And in the case of that feedback, it sounds as though the seller wasn't willing to accept responsibility for her error (??) in selling a fake by accepting a return, refunding the buyer and extending sincere and humble apologies! My guess is that had she done the right thing, she probably wouldn't have been negged.

Another concern of mine and one that would make me hit the "back" button on a listing for a highly faked brand is the fact that she has private listings. With private listings, potential buyers have no way to look at the items and listings the seller sold in order to verify that the seller sells authentic and also to make sure that bidding isn't "sketchy." (ETA: I should add that whether the neg was warranted or not, a seller with a negative feedback alleging a counterfeit item needs to show transparency in her future listings.)
