The details pictured appear authentic. Make sure there's a Made In stamp on the oppposite side of the Chanel stamp.

Comments: Seller is a tPfer... She requested authentication when she purchased it, but as a completed buy from a local shop, auction was not active and she was directed to a private authenticator for follow up.

I asked her what she found out from private authentication, and she said she had not authenticated it b/c the seller where she purchased assured her that the prior owner was legit. This bag does not come with authentication card.

This is uncharted territory for me- I am not new to tPF, but I am accustomed to lower price points w/ seldom- counterfeited brands (Rebecca Minkoff). I am new to Chanel and the world of high(er) stakes transactions! I would be grateful for any insight you could share!

The prices are far too low especially for the 228 reissue.... it's the Chanel bag that I like most and have been looking at to buy and the prices are much much higher even for much-used bags.
Apart from the pictures being cropped I think I may have seen the photos somewhere before, I may be wrong here, as I have looked at a lot of reissues in the past month or so.
