Thank you. I learned quite a bit from the fantastic authenticators here.

So..........

Burberry items sold at the outlet stores are possibly items made in china. And it is possible that the quality (poor stitching, different labeling, etc) has lower standards in these outlets.

There are now many Burberry items (outlet or regular retail store) which are made in China

Items produced solely for the outlets are not the same as the ones produced for regular retail stores IMHO

There is an easy way to determine which products are outlet vs. retail. The outlets use computer printed price tags that get placed on the inside of the paper tag. If there are two prices listed, it originated in retail. If there is only one price, it was made for the outlet.

Yes, I am aware of that

It is very easy to tell if you have been to the outlets... I get a lot of joy getting a retail item marked down in an outlet :p

I agree. I got an outlet-made polo and it stained after one wash (fabric just discolored on its own) and won't come out. I know of stitching coming out very easily on sweaters too. However, sometimes it's a trade off, because I got a stowell tote made for the outlet that has held up beautifully.

But I love some of the big retail markdowns too...nothing like picking up a mini manor bag and wallet for $400 instead of $1200+ :)

I agree...doesn't look good to me. The sewn label looks off and then it doesn't look like real cashmere. I know it sounds weird, but the lines on many cashmere mufflers look a little "fuzzy"...not so perfect.
