There was however something underneath at both sides of the tote which is not blackish in colour unlike the base, looks like it's the nova check pattern (yellowish in colour underneath). It's not visible at all unless I exert some force/pressure to open the sides to look inside. Is this normal? Refer to the pic below, you may notice it in the slight opening in middle when I tried to open it.

I don't know about the inside seam. It could be binding of some kind.

I need a better photo of the Burberry stamp and complete photos of the inside fabric tags.
