Good evening ladies! I was wondering if you could tell me more about this bag: style name, color, and year? I don't necessarily need an authentication, though another opinion would be happily received-- just in case. Thanks for your expertise! P.S. Boxermom~I noticed in another post, you commented on Chi-town. I have lived in the Western Suburbs for 7 years. I love it! Sans the weather. :) Thanks and have a great night!

It's authentic, as you know, but I can't find the color on my list. Tomorrow I'll go thru my catalogs and see what I can find.

Yes, I think Chicago is the best city in the world! I lived in the far nw 'burbs (Crystal Lake) for 30 years. I'm spending some time there this summer to relieve my allergies (hard to believe when Chgo is considered so bad for allergies but I'm not allergic to anything in the Midwest). Yay for the Blackhawks (if you are a hockey fan:graucho:)

Thanks Boxermom! I appreciate any additional information you can provide. We live a few miles from the Brookfield Zoo and it's divine. We moved here not knowing a soul and I find Midwesterners so friendly and lovely. It really IS about community and family here. Having 4 children, 9 and under, I love that feeling. We constantly joke about living in a Norman Rockwell painting, or, Mayberry. :) I hope you have a great visit returning to your old stomping grounds! We're hockey fans, yes, but my husband is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan-he's Canadian-and he's a former semi-pro hockey player. I guess, when in doubt, root for the Blackhawks? LOL. Thanks again for all your time and effort.

I went thru all my catalogs, going back to summer 2005, and can't find this bag. The catalogs don't include all the styles, so I'm not surprised, but was hoping to find it. Maybe someone else will have some info for you on this cute bag.

I have a good Maple Leafs story for your dh. During the 9/11 crisis, my dh (a pilot for United) was flying from Europe to Chicago and of course was diverted to Canada-St. John's. It was a problem finding lodging for passengers and crews from about 25 airliners diverted to that town. The Maple Leafs were holding their pre-season training camp there and they went out of their way to make all the displaced passengers and crews feel welcome. They brought tshirts, jackets, caps, etc. for everyone and handed them out. My husband was so impressed with the hospitality of this Canadian town and the hockey players trying to make a bad situation better for the several days they weren't able to return to the U.S. Afterwards dh sent about 2 dozen thank-you letters to everyone involved that helped out. Everyone was so generous there.

Thank you for your due diligence Boxermom! Now this is where my new-to-Bottega comes out: is it possible, then, this bag was made expressly for outlet? If so, I guess I look for the circlular "BV" stamp in the bag when it arrives? I am just excited to add this lovely pop of color to my handbag collection. This would make the 3rd BV purchase, since coming to tPF, and I am SO thankful to have you guys!

Canadians are very hospitable! They also band together well in times of crisis--not that we don't, but it feels like the WHOLE country steps up (38 million citizens v. our 300+ million). I think that's why DH feels so comfortable here--Chicago is a mirror image of Toronto (topography, population, etc...) and the peoples are virtually identical with respect to a sense of overwhelming community. We have thought, many times, of beating feet back to his neighborhood (High Park) and raising our children in his home. There may come a time...

Bless your husband! What a dark time in our history. And what a tough time in the airline industry. Please tell your husband that MY husband-who travels 120+ days a year-he ONLY flies United/Continental. He swears by the customer service and their impeccable record. :)

I actually think this bag is vintage
by vintage I mean before TM
I think this because of the hardware clasp on it
