Hi,

1. It's an authentic vintage BV, but the mirror is not original with the bag. The original mirror would have had a faux tortoise shell sort of look. This mirror is actually the newest version mirror and better than the vintage ones IMO :smile1:

2. Although the pictures show the condition well, they don't show what we need to authenticate the bag. Please see post 1 of this thread. ;)

Dear Miss_FancyBags, Thank you very much for the help. I've asked the additional pictures from the seller #2 after saw your reply, however, the seller was not interested in sending the additional necessary pictures for me. Again, thank you very much for the help.

i looked at this knot and it seems right, and yet the croc doesn't seem like bv quality? it could be the the pix, but when i look at grandmommie's ebano knot i instantly know it is BV and her pix (no offense to grandmommie are a bit blurry). maybe baggiana or grandmommie could weigh in....

looked at her other knots to see whether i would feel comfortable with them and i truly don't know whether i feel like they are BV quality. it could be the angle of the pix. others know a lot more than i do and so let's get another opinion or two.

Also note the seller's feedback... might just be worth communicating a lot so you feel comfortable in case something goes awry.

doloresmia - thanks, if you have any concerns I don't want to take a chance. I saw one of the responses to the negative feedback and it left me a bit concerned.

You ladies know I have been lusting for an elongated croc clutch in ash, but this may be the closest I get...can you authenticate price seems low for croc:
Item: BV Black Matte Crocodile Knot Clutch
item no: 320597289248
Seller: propertyofalady212
Link:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320597289248&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I don't see any warning signs on this knot except that the last picture with the engraved Bottega Veneta on the knot seems to be poorly done or maybe just really used/old - however, seller says item only used once (?).

Biggest problem for me would be seller's feedback and their responses to buyers' issues. It's horrendous! :wtf:

I am not strong on knots... but this seller's feedback would give me real pause... especially if something went wrong.

Baggiana, I agree with you..I am not strong on knots and have never bought one off of ebay..all of my knots have come from the BV boutique..her feedback worries me too and her harsh way of dealing with buyers...that is strictly my opinion..

ReRe - as much as I'd love for you to get a Croc Knot, something about this one makes me nervous. When I look at the parts they seem fine, but as a whole something does not add up. I wish I could put it in words for you. I do not feel comfortable with this one. This was before I looked at feedback. The Nimrod comment sealed the deal for me.

ReRe, in my lilac croc knot, the knot is wrapped in croc but this one on ebay is not. Also, the pictures 6 & 7, it seems the leather is peeling off on the knot. It does look suspicious to me:thinkin:

please see my picture

ReRe, I just looked through the pictures of lilac, ebano and truffle croc knots Pascal sent me. The dark brown one (i can't remember whether it's ebano or truffle) seems to have regular leather wrap instead of croc. I attached all the pictures he sent here for your reference.

I hope i'm not confusing you:p

Just to add to Lululala's post... yes, it's true "the knot closure on the croc Knot" varies from woven nappa in older versions to full unwoven croc in newer versions. I believe they started the latter in F/W 2009.

On the croc Knot in question, it looks ok in my opinion though I would also be extra cautious in pulling the trigger given the feedback.
