Both - this is a Capri and not a Roma. It is authentic. I have the same bag in Ebano and I got mine back in 2007. I am not sure why the seller classified it as "new with defects". Apart from the pen mark on the interior suede, this bag is clearly not new. In fact, they discontinued this style last year. Anyway, the bidding has ended but just wanted to clarify the name of the bag.

Hi, we still need more pictures to review before issuing an opinion...please see what we had posted earlier and there is a list of things we'd need to see such as the inside of the attached pouch, the inside of bag, back and front of auth tag, etc. Without those pictures, there's not much we can say :smile1:

Denise, I'm sorry that your request seems to have been lost in the shuffle. If there isn't a white authenticity tag in the bag anywhere, my guess is that it's not genuine. As I said earlier, I don't have a Cabat and it's different enough from most BV bags that it's hard for me to authenticate from photos. The photos show me that this may not be a real Cabat. But I repeat that I am not an expert on this style.

Your grandmother's collection sounds interesting but frustrating for anyone trying to determine value or what to do with them, if there are some replicas along with genuine designer bags. Maybe we should all hide a note in our bags so the people that have them after we're gone know what they are;).

denise - based on the closeup of the metal tag - this bag is a counterfeit. There should be a white tag in the bottom of the bag, but even without any other pics this is not the real mccoy. I have 2 cabats and several limited edition bags so I am very familiar with the metal tags... sorry!!!

This looks authentic. The color is Quarzo. However it looks like it may be a wallet made for the BV outlet stores so where the seller states that the retail value is $610, that is incorrect. It would sell for less in the outlet. The nappa leather is the same quality though and made by BV craftspeople.
