thank you, i could not find any information about the serial number despite searching on the How to read the balenciaga tag thread....anyway, after some searching the colour looks to be Bleu India...rather than Bleu Azur? also is the name in the ad correct?

Not Bleu India. Bleu Azur is correct. It's a Metallic Edge envelope clutch.

I was Bal-AWOL when these first came out so I only know what they've been called post 2020. And everyone, everywhere calls them Metallic Edge, so I've assumed that's the official name. Bummer because when you search for metallic Bals (as I am wont to do), you get a deluge of Metallic Edge bags hits.
