Hi, just wondering if you are able to authenticate from these photos?
I'm away at the moment so my mother has taken some photos for me 🤦
If not I totally understand, I know that some necessary photos are missing sorry.
Thankyou

Hi! I'm new to the forum and I come to you with my first purchase.
I was wondering if anyone could authenticate this Balenciaga Motocross Classic bag? I bought it on A Retro Tale - a luxury vintage retailer in Sweden. To me they seem trustworthy because they apparently involve a third party for the authentication process. Anyways, it's my first luxury bag ever and it would really sooth my nerves if you confirmed it was an original.
More about the bag: it has short tassels - I asked whether they had to be cut because of their condition but they just replied they got it like that. I read somewhere that short tassels or none mean fake?
This might be weird but I feel like the leather feels different on the sides than on the front and back (stiffer)?
Could anyone tell me more about the tag? I know "G" means F/W2014, but do other numbers matter as well?
Is the knot inside the handles a real thing when it comes to authentication? I read that the knot should be visible, but it looks like it's hidden?
Sorry if that's too long.
Thank you :)

Welcome to TPF! Authentic in my opinion, and yes, the tassels have been cut. Don’t worry about the knot in the handles, some of the info you read pertains to older bags.
Regarding the tag, 115748 indicates a classic City, the other number on the front we don’t know. On the back 1000 is the colour black. Don’t know what 1669 indicates.

God knows I don't need another black City, (except maybe a f/w 07), so this is just for my and others' info. The leather on this is so yummy, but the rivets are shady and I see no metal plate in a year there should have been a metal plate. Can't tell if there are holes on the leather tag where a metal plate would have been stitched. Super cheap tho. Thoughts or gut reactions from the experts?

Not sure the rivets are shady, but it’s poor photography for sure. I THINK the tag back is OK, the pics super blurry, and it does look like there was a plate at one time.
