The inside tag looks it might be Sandstone (or maybe Mastic). I think you are right that the bag has been dyed. Have you asked the seller that?

Letter D is supposed to be F/W 2003. Until you see the bale and rivet, would say hold off. Possible red flag: all prior FB is for ink cartridges!
