Dear all,
A while ago, two of my Balenciaga bags that I had listed on ebay were authenticated here on this thread and given the thumbs down, then both listings were removed from ebay. The listing numbers were: 190259768685 - 100% Authentic RARE NEW Balenciaga Black Box Bag 2006 and 190259775399 - Auth. BNWT Balenciaga Yellow Marigold Bag 2004, receipt. The first was bought from let-trade, the second directly from Bal, both new and never used. Although I had a bid on one and a lot of interest in the other, those bidders have now been scared away and now I may never sell them. So understandably it's a pretty frustrating situation to be in when I KNOW they are both real.
I assume it was a tpfer who gave them the thumbs down, thus causing the listings to be removed, and now ebay has stopped me from selling for the foreseeable future :(
Hence why I want to bring the photos directly to the authenticate forum, with a caveat: if you're not 100% sure that the items are real or fake, don't be so quick to pull them! At any time if anyone was unsure of the authenticity of my items during the ten days I listed them, you could always ask me (in fact, I did get some queries and was happy to send off additional photos.) However, all that happened was two hours beforehand, the listings got removed and all bids cancelled! Not only did I lose money, but I felt like I also lost my ebay reputation.
So to continue, I just wanted to post my photos so that the bal experts can judge for themselves:

Hi Classicsgirl, thanks for posting. I think I remember these two listings, but I can't remember whether they were judged authentic or not. I just looked at your pictures and though they're small, both Bbags look good to me. I'm sorry your listings were pulled, but I think -bay can be erratic like that -- they'll pull authentic listings and let fakes auction. I'm not sure how many "reports" it takes (I think Gina might know) to pull a listing, but I'm sure it's not just a few.

I'm a little confused when you say "-bay has stopped me from selling for the foreseeable future" -- does that mean you've been hit with the 30-day selling restriction? If so, that can definitely be lifted. The other thing I thought of was NARU, but I think that can be reversed as well, no?

In any case, I'm sorry you've had to go through this, I know -bay can be extremely distressing. Good luck with everything and I hope other PFers will chime in on the authenticity of your bags to help you get this straightened out. :flowers:

Jira said this well. I too seem to remember the 04 Marigold, or one like it, but not the box bag. Neither can I remember a "thumbs down," for either of them. It is rare that a bag will be deemed fake here when there is any doubt, and based on the photos you posted, I can't imagine that happening.

As for the listings being pulled from Ebay, Jira was correct about that as well. Many authentic bags are pulled down, while obvious fakes ride along unscathed.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but you are not alone. Take a look at the Ebay forum here to see just how widespread this problem is.

Edit: I just realized that you mention both your bags were "New," never been used. It is my understanding that using the term 'new,' in a listing for a designer bag is a red flag for Ebay. You might try to follow this up, to see if this was their probable reason for pulling your auctions.

I agree with Jira and Connie, this box and mini first look good to me. I don't recall we've ever given a thumb down here. There may be many reasons for *bay to pull listings. Like Connie said, maybe it was because the "New" word in your title since it is a 2006 bag, and *bay doesn't believe it could be brand new?

You didn't receive 30-day listing restriction, did you? You may consider changing the title and relist it. BTW, if your listings are removed, *bay should refund you the listing fee. Good luck with your sale!
