Thanks mlm,

You obviously know your Balenciaga leathers!
I'm sorry that this happened to you!

Thanks so much for the information..... I will be extra cautious from now on when authenticating these GH bags.

My mistake and my apologies.......

Gina

Hi! Just wanted to comment on the Black PT. I do wish you could see & feel it in real life. I tried to rub a little bit of apple conditioner into it initially because I thought well maybe the leather is just super dry and thats why it feels hard, rough, and plasticy...but the conditioner didn't soak in at all, it was more or less repelled by whatever the purse is made of. I tried to buff it off soon after, but it left a big white stain. Then, the "leather" started to peel off in places. I barely touched the purse. I'm not sure what the bag is made of, but its definitely not real. :nogood:

^ Gina, I was fooled by all the pics too. Its scary. Just an update, I called the seller out on the bag being fake and they refunded me immediately without even having the bag back in hand. So I definitely think they knew it was counterfeit. Glad that whole saga is over.

Was the link to this auction ever posted here? I for one would like to know WHO the seller was so that I can avoid them in the future.
Damn scary that they are getting so good! Is the tag font ... and the FEEL of the leather the only thing that looks "off"?
Glad you got your $$ back MLM!!

I have to admit, this is the best bale I've even seen on a fake bag. I am saving that bale photos for future fake reference. Thank God you got your money back!

Here is the link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=260297605727

The only thing that was off about the bag was the depth of the font on the interior tag...it was etched a little too deep, and almost looked like it had been punched in a time or two. You can feel how deep it is by running your finger over it. It is hard to tell by pictures. The leather is all wrong as well. Its hard and stiff, but you can't tell that from photos either. All the hardware (rivets, bale, etc) was correct. I'm so glad I got my money back that quick as well!

Here is the reasoning Carol Diva gave with authentication:
1. Stitching is sloppy.
2. The word stamping of BALENCIAGA looks messy, overstamped, causing some of the letters to look too thick.

Thanks mim for sharing all the vital info about this unusually good counterfeit.
If any of us have become relaxed, this is ample reason to be more vigilant. :sweatdrop:
