If it's a fake it's a very good one, though I've never seen a white label. I'm unsure on this.

Thank you for your reply. I never saw scarf like this before. I am pretty sure about 99.999%, that it is silk. The scarf is very well made and has a beautiful sheen to it. But ...????

Could you please help me authenticate this scarf? It's the Skull on Butterfly design from the pre-spring/summer collection (scarf as seen on McQueen site: http://www.alexandermcqueen.com/us/alexandermcqueen/silk-fashion-scarf_cod46426808lw.html).
I'm worried about it, because I ordered it from a large department store, but the two differences I see are:
1: the background is quite pale yellow and not white or ivory as in the pictures online or in the description (I have a few pictures in different lighting to try and show as much versions of what I see as possible) but in contrast, when I look at the pictures, they don't look as pale yellow as I can see via my eyes (not sure why?)
2: the edges are frayed, not solid trim (online, it's very obvious and also written out that it's solid trim...)
