I don't have any wool scarves from AMQ. Based on the tags compared to my silk skull scarves there is a difference. If that difference is due to the type of scarf, I cannot say. What I can say is that the scarf looks awefully stiff. I suppose people love them for their softness and that one looks stiff as h*ll. Hopefully someone well versed in wool scarves can help you. I know this is long to say: I don't know. Sorry

I am still on the look out for some used AMQ scarves but am going to pick a couple of new ones as I have a 20% voucher....but unsure what to order

What are the silk chiffon ones like? I am not really a fan of silk, too shiny for me but I wonder as they call it chiffon is it different? My fav scarves are made from modal & silk, i love the feel & the way they hang. Wondered if "silk chiffon" will be similar....or maybe I should just stick to modal, need some Help please

Yes, that one is fake. But not just for the folded tag, other stuff too.

Please ask the seller to send you a CLEAR photo of the entire black tag (not half folded over) plus the Alexander McQueen name that is stamped on the actual scarf. If the seller refuses, there's a reason why.

Also as an aside note -- how many of these scarves is the seller selling? If she's selling in multiples, that's a good sign that all are fake.

Hi everyone! Long time reader, first time poster.

I adore AMQ scarves, and I have a great eye for fakes. I'm hoping to be helpful in authenticating some in the future.

I'm having a little difficulty with this one, however. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281064414559
I wanted to double check as I'm not familiar with the pattern. The tag looks decent, though the "Made in Italy" seems a bit far to the left for my liking. Most of all, I'm really unsure about the edges.

Anyway, even if it is fake I still really like it and hope to bargain with the seller, but I'll need proof.

I'm 99% sure the second one is fake as well--the X in Alexander is very narrow. However, it is a relatively decent fake.
