****

FIRST, PLEASE DO A SEARCH BY SELLER NAME OR ITEM NUMBER TO SEE IF YOUR QUESTION HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED.
This is not a thread to ask general questions about CL, please refer to our main CL forum for information about sizing, seasons, etc.

IF THE AUCTION/SHOES HAVE NOT YET BEEN AUTHENTICATED, POST HERE.

This is a free service, so it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format. PLEASE LEAVE A SPACE AFTER THE COLONS.

PLEASE LIMIT YOUR REQUESTS TO THREE (3) PER POST.

FOR AUCTION SITES:

Item: xxxx
Listing number: xxxx
Seller: xxxx
Link: xxxx
Comments: xxxx

If the shoes in question are
NOT ON AN AUCTION SITE, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
Link (if available):
Seller:
Comments:
Please give us as much information as you can and then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos).

This format to prevent duplication requests and to make it simpler for people to 'search' for items which may have been posted previously. If you feel that your post has been skipped, you may repost but please copy and paste the ORIGINAL LINK, do not just copy and paste the link from your post.

Please post ALL of the following photos to insure ACCURATE authentication:

ON A HARD SURFACE, NOT A BED OR CARPETING ;*We need to see the ENTIRE shoe, not a cropped portion.

PROFILE: this is a shot of the entire side of the shoe, and should be taken straight on, NOT from above or below
BACK
FRONT
LABEL/LOGO inside the shoe

(a macro lens is best for this shot &; it's the flower icon on your camera)
SOLE 2: a shot of the entire sole

SNEAKERS: For sneakers good quality close-ups of the following details are required:

SIZE STAMP
CL LOGO ON THE INSOLE
& MADE IN& STAMP ON THE OUTSOLE
CL STAMP ON THE OUTSOLE

AUTHENTICATORS: Please utilize the "QUOTE" feature when responding directly to another post. Please do not publicly post details about why you think an item is or is not authentic, sellers of fakes have been known to lurk here and we would not want to help them.

Should one of YOUR items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity. DO NOT handle disputes with other members in this thread &; take your differences to Private Messages.
****Failure to do so can result in BANNING.****

Authentication Request

Item Name (if you know it): Geo Pump 85 Kid/patent toe

Link (if available): http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-AUTH-NE...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Seller: fuchi888

Comments: I'd appreciate it if someone could authenticate these shoes for me. I purchased them from a seller on eBay who sells high end items and has excellent reviews. They arrived today and I'm unsure about their authenticity mainly because the finishing on the soles doesn't appear as clean as I would expect on a pair of CLs. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

I'm having trouble attaching photos. What am I doing wrong?

Authentic

Notes: the font looks slightly different than the louboutins I currently own. This may be an older style (hence the differences) but I would like the opinion of a expert. Thanks so much for your time and effort

Good

You did not demand that user "russell317" add pics to their question, and I modeled my request on that post. What gives?http://forum.purseblog.com/loubouti...-1st-page-before-817623-631.html#post29708450

The listing you posted has only 4 pics, it is not possible to authenticate based on those. Missing are a straight on profile pic, front, back, close-up of the sole stamp. In addition this is a highly faked style, so I'm not taking any chances with making guesses based on insufficient info/pics.

The listing you are refering to here has 11 pics on the other hand and they are sufficient to determine authenticity.

She is doing this as a favor/free service and is under no obligation to help you. All she did was request more pictures to better help YOU. The least you can do is be appreciative and post more pictures

And just how would I be able to do that? It's not my ebay auction, I don't have access to the shoes being sold. How do you suggest I would go about to post more pictures?

You can ask the seller to provide more photos. I have asked sellers in the past to provide additional shots, and the good ones have no issue with doing so.

Here's the deal. Authenticators need certain details to determine whether a shoe (or any item) is fake or not.

Sometimes we can tell with just a couple of pics, and sometimes we need more. Sometimes the lighting can be poor or the angles deceiving. Asking for more pics is not a punishment but a testament of the integrity of the authenticator and their commitment to getting it right.

It is up to you, the requestor of services, to obtain those pics. You can either ask the seller for them and post them here, or buy the item and post once received. The second is riskier, obviously. Authenticators cannot perform magic tricks to make needed details appear.

Please show some appreciation and respect for our unpaid volunteers, who are under no obligation to help anyone. They do this in their free time simply to help people like yourself.

If you don't like how this process is run, you are free to pay for these services elsewhere. We will not tolerate disrespect towards those who are generous enough to share their skills on tPF.
