CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN AUTHENTICITY QUESTIONS GO HERE.

****

FIRST, PLEASE DO A SEARCH BY SELLER NAME OR ITEM NUMBER TO SEE IF YOUR QUESTION HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED.
This is not a thread to ask general questions about CL, please refer to our main CL forum for information about sizing, seasons, etc.

IF THE AUCTION/SHOES HAVE NOT YET BEEN AUTHENTICATED, POST HERE.

This is a free service, so it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format. PLEASE LEAVE A SPACE AFTER THE COLONS.

PLEASE LIMIT YOUR REQUESTS TO THREE (3) PER POST.

FOR AUCTION SITES:

Item: xxxx
Listing number: xxxx
Seller: xxxx
Link: xxxx
Comments: xxxx

If the shoes in question are
NOT ON AN AUCTION SITE, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
Link (if available):
Seller:
Comments:
Please give us as much information as you can and then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos).

This format to prevent duplication requests and to make it simpler for people to 'search' for items which may have been posted previously. If you feel that your post has been skipped, you may repost but please copy and paste the ORIGINAL LINK, do not just copy and paste the link from your post.

Please post ALL of the following photos to insure ACCURATE authentication:

ON A HARD SURFACE, NOT A BED OR CARPETING ;*We need to see the ENTIRE shoe, not a cropped portion.

PROFILE: this is a shot of the entire side of the shoe, and should be taken straight on, NOT from above or below
BACK
FRONT
LABEL/LOGO inside the shoe
SOLE 1: a clear close-up shot of the logo/size stamp, preferably no flash
(a macro lens is best for this shot &; it's the flower icon on your camera)
SOLE 2: a shot of the entire sole
BOOTS: Please do your best to get a clear shot of the label inside the boot. This can be tricky, but it can be done.

SNEAKERS: For sneakers good quality close-ups of the following details are required:

SIZE STAMP
CL LOGO ON THE INSOLE
& MADE IN& STAMP ON THE OUTSOLE
CL STAMP ON THE OUTSOLE

AUTHENTICATORS: Please utilize the "QUOTE" feature when responding directly to another post. Please do not publicly post details about why you think an item is or is not authentic, sellers of fakes have been known to lurk here and we would not want to help them.

Should one of YOUR items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity. DO NOT handle disputes with other members in this thread &; take your differences to Private Messages.

Hi! I recently purchased a pair of Pique Prives in calfskin from a consignment shop and was so excited about the find I didn't think until afterward about how to authenticate them. I was wondering if anyone knows the year this style was made and if they have the Vero Cuoio stamp on the outsole, because mine has this marking. I will post pictures later on. Thanks for the help!!

Thank you for your help!! P.S It appears the last owner put a protective covering on the bottom of the soles, I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.

these are fake

Oh no! :( could you tell me what gave it away? So I know for next time. Thank you for your help

You need to teach yourself what quality materials feel like and learn to tell leather from synthetic. The fakes are all synthetically lined or lined in pigskin. Forget the labels until after you check out the quality of the shoe., Labels and sole stamps are the easiest part of the shoe to fake. The next easiest part to fake is the upper. What cannot be faked is quality construction-how the shoe is lined, how it balances on the side, how the heel is attached to the shoe, etc. Look at the product without considering the label and ask yourself if this is really a give or take $1000 item.

Hi. Please help me with those. I got them in consignment store in NY, they look authentic (I have several pairs of Louboutins so I compared), however the back stitching is rather strange (last picture). I look forward to your response.
