That was me when I went. I went straight for the nano satchel in teal on the clearance table. I carried it all over the store as I debated If I wanted it. Then came me and the micro, same deal. I knoe the S.A,s we’re looking and muttering to them selves that lady is crazy… they could tell I was super excited as I all but started opera singing when I got in front of the Florentines… LOLIf that store releases footage of me, it will be mostly of me smelling the flo satchels.
@mushroomNgrass i confess my finger prints are all over the flo satchels. 😅😅
it to mention I was in that store for at least 3 hours. I looked at everything twice or more.
if that Tilton had been there when I was there I would have be cartwheeling and high step rockette kicking with it up to the counter…

I'm sure the SA appreciated your excitement. It must have been nice to see a customer
who really appreciated the handbags. And with all your purse posing and sniffing, I'm
guessing you were taking very good care of the bags. They would rather see someone
marching around (dancing for joy) carrying 3 Florentine bags rather than someone
trying to figure out how to slip by the register and exit the store with something
hidden.
Lol LJ I could NOT curb my enthusiasm. OMG I was a kid in the candy store with a pocket full of money. i had my mask on but I’m sure they could hear the sounds of delight coming out of me as I giggled and talked to myself.
LOL makes me giggle even now as I think of how I must have looked to them. Literally kicking the door in and gliding into that store in shock and awe.

It’s supposed to snow here Friday. That will not deter my trip to the dooney and Bourke factory store in Aurora, Illinois
A true collector never lets something like the weather get in the way of a great sale.
She sets her alarm and gets an early start so she can help the staff open the door
and enjoy all the fresh stock before the crowds descend. 😁
And since she plans
to spend several hours, she wears comfortable shoes and clothes, and takes
a small water bottle and a snack for energy. And she has a cooler or lunch bag in the car trunk, with extra water and food, to revive her before the slog home. Shopping takes
a lot of energy!

Hee hee. Yes yes and yes! I plan on taking the streets all the way from my house. I’ll be leaving early and plan to be there with my nose on the glass as they open the doors LOL. I’m going to be honest and let you know I’m only going to 1 store, Dooney and Bourke. If the Labor Day sale in store was any indication, the extra percent off should be more Friday. I’ll be calling and asking what time they open and what % off is the Black Friday sale… I’m gonna get in and get out…. And drive carefully home with my new Florentines. As always I appreciate your Incite LJ. I’ll post the % off when I find out. I’ve already priced online what I’m hoping to get, so I’ll know if I want to wait for cyber Monday. But they dont have an Ivy mini online, so I’ll definitely get that. Any if the basic colors I’ll wait for.
I was sniffing that little purse. I wanted to get one for my girls. I can’t imagine how small the nano is.
Alrighty then I called the Aurora store. They will be opened from 6am… i spoke with amber, I believe that’s the manager, and she said most everything is 40%-50% off regular prices and on Black Friday there will be an additional 15% off. She said they have a lot of sample Florentine and alto in the back, but they’re already marked as is price with no extra discount. i asked about the tilton, I can’t stop with my Tilton obsession, and they had 2 in store but both were chestnut. Mind you $202 for the Tilton is a very good price, cheapest I’ve seen it and trust me I have stalked this bag.
Anyways I’m about to figure out if the Ivy mini is worth me driving thru the snow….

By my calculation the mini Florentine satchel should be around $238… decisions decisions….
thats $100+ less than online sale price, plus they don’t have Ivy online….I’m going and coming home with an Ivy mini.
she explained to me that some of the samples come from stores like to maxx and Marshall’s that no longer have contracts to sell dooney or one of a kind items that have no pockets on the inside and are true samples that have not made it to production for whatever reasons…
I’ll be there bright and early…

I didnt even look at the mini when I was there. I was focused on the nano and micro. I had just gotten a small before my trip, and I’m glad I did because it didn’t work for me. I knew I wanted the large but I was not prepared for it to be smaller than the 15 inch large I already had…
Since they do not offer the Ivy online I will go and get it. The color is stunning and I was thinking about getting Ivy instead of navy in the large. I’m interested to see all the alto and Florentine samples. Again that large hobo my eye…. It’s very nice against the body, has a zipper and is a very interesting shape… if it’s less than this $204 at the outlet I’ll snag it…
look at this REAL crocodile bag. WOW ITS BEAUTIFUL!

Definitely scour over ILD for the Ivy satchel this week. If I spot anything I’ll definitely message you. They seem to add stuff quietly. Like the nano’s a few weeks ago (to never be seen again). 🤣

Yeah I did see that hobo there.
The alto samples were also in the back, but on the left wall.
Just wanted to reiterate, the flo samples I saw there had a lot of scratches on them. For me, at the $200 price tag, I’d have rather bought the bag brand new. JMO
