Twas the week before Black Friday,
And I drove down to Aurora,
On 294 & 88, through construction, traffic & tolls,
Everything was 40% off retail,
But at least $10 more than online,
They had a clearance and sample section,
where I found a Tilton for $209,
However, nothing caught my eye,
I left with a fat duck & valet keychain, and some duck stickers for the fall,
Here’s the pix I took, enjoy them all.

I agree about the timing.

There were 3 bags on the sample wall that caught my eye, but I couldn’t justify the price. 1 was the Flo Bristol in natural, it had scratches and a large oil spot on the front for $199 the other was the flo Naomi in natural, it has scratches all over it, for $209. The other was the Cameron in denim, teal, and natural for $169, but it had scratches all over it.

I just felt for those prices, I could buy the bag from the website without any of those scratches or oil spots. (JMO)

I want to add that I saw a variation of this bag at the outlet, and there was different colors. There was a difference that the outlet bag had a crossbody strap. The bag was small, and I felt the strap was short too.

There should be an additional % for Black Friday. My eyes got big when I saw the Tilton. By it being on clearance $209 was a good Price. Was less than my pre-ordered Tilton $272. That natural hobo next to the Tilton is really nice. I’ll look at it if it’s there…
That Ivy mini satchel is calling my name. Anything not on clearance , they can bring you another factory wrapped from the back. I’ll be there bright and early and I will let you guys know about the Black Friday prices.
I have priced the mini on site so I will know if the Black Friday price is worth it. Depending on the price at the outlet I might get 2 minis.

Thanks so much for the Aurora outlet pics! I saw a couple of bags in your pictures that would have tempted me but I probably would have left empty handed. When I used to drive to Aurora I'd tell myself I was just going to get the "vapors" of being near all the bags. If I actually saw something I wanted to buy that was a bonus. It was fun but it's a long drive just to look at bags.

I have the same valet key chain. I've been using it for years. When I'm in SF and walking I hook it to my bra strap for security. I place it in a way it doesn't bulge or poke me, too much. But if my purse is lost or stolen I still have my keys to the building and apartment.

just has cash and misc. I also used to carry a small shoulder bag
or cross body bag under my coat at times.

Good luck at the outlet. You are smart to have researched the prices so you know what's
a great deal when you see it at the outlet. And yes, holiday sales with that extra % off
can have great pricing, at least on some items. Challenge is to balance what you want
with the prices and what you 'need'. It's so easy to give into the temptation and
buy a ton of handbags. I've been down that path, more than once. 🤣
But it's so much fun to find treasures at really great prices. Enjoy your adventure.

Yes, city living can be challenging. I carry my phone under my shirt/jacket in a fanny pack I bought at Ross. So I'll have my keys and phone. My sister is always asking me why I bother carrying a purse? In addition to my love of purses, I still have a lot of things inside.

I have the duck as well and I agree, it's heavy. I keep forgetting I have it because I haven't used it in a long time.
