Oh wow. Nice bag!

My husband and I actually wandered into their store in Nolita in September when we were visiting NYC. We'd never heard of them before, but really liked a lot of their pieces. The one thing I would say is they have a big logo stamp on some of their items (belts, wallets) that I found unnecessary. But sounds like a good company. Enjoy your beauty!

Love those as well - so many lovely things here!

I was initially torn between the Beatrix and the Hazel - but realized the Hazel was more my size. Would it help to have a friend in the U.S., or is it still just as expensive for you in the end?

To paraphrase the song, "it's all about the Cervo, 'bout the Cervo, 'bout the Cervo".

I once tried to order a handmade American bag located in Nebraska.
Before checking out I phoned the French Customs.
The officer told me everything I wanted to know...When I told him I was shocked at the enormous price the bag would finally cost me, he said it was to deter Europeans from buying outside UE.
Should I have a friend sending it to me, it would be the same....

The logo is fairly unobtrusive on the bags I am interested in. On the Hazel it seems to just blend in with the bag. I just tried to add a photo of it and it seems tPF is having an issue this morning...

Congrats on a great purchase! I love Will...have had my eye on the Douglas Tote and the Batik totes. They seem like they are well worth the $$.
I think so... and thanks!

That is sad. I guess France is small enough they can check every package. Do you pay Customs and such on gifts as well? Gosh. But - just the idea of France makes my heart beat a bit faster, so - ? One trade for the other, I suppose...

Haha. The bread was SO GOOD. I spent a week in France and I still miss it...

If anyone is really, really serious about ordering from WILL you can PM me. I'm sure we can work something out where you send them money and I go in person to pick it up and put it in alternative wrapping paper and THEN they mail it to you. :p

(I hope French customs doesn't read TPF...)

I don't believe this is allowed on tpf:
http://forum.purseblog.com/feedback-dropbox/question-tpf-rules-guidelines-843877.html

And might be seen as a customs/duties violation.

It probably is a tPF violation because it's so tempting to use this forum to do things like that, making it OK would flood the forum with sellers/resellers and ruin it. No argument with you there! :D

Don't worry, Elisian, I will go back to the US one day and get a few American made bags and jeans.....

I feel like Americans absolutely suck at recognizing where we're lucky. Wah, wah, Brits are trendier, wah wah Italian leather's the best, wah wah Asians get tailored suits for a song. Thanks for reminding me... WE HAVE THE BEST JEANS!! :yahoo:

Thanks, Annie!

I'm also trying out the Hazel in the red/tan combination - it looks like it will be one of those hard-to-find 'perfect' reds, but I haven't received it yet, so we'll see. Here's two shots of this bag - very very pretty color combo!
