So, I am on the hunt for my next bag and I'm so confused :shrugs:. I currently own the Galliera PM. I originally wanted the Trevi PM and then I was going to try a crossbody (Bloomsbury PM or Siracusa PM). Then......... I stumbled upon a pre-loved artsy in monogram Empreinte. I am new to LV and I want to buy them all . However, I'm limiting myself to 2 LV bags and 1 "other" bag per year. My questions are......... Does anyone own the Artsy in ME? Is it heavy? Hard to get into? How does the leather hold up in the corners? Thanks in advance!

I would def look into the Artsy Clubhouse or the Empreinte clubhouse. Welcome to the wonderful addictive world of LV:graucho: GL

its heavy and hard to get into. if you're used to all leather bags then the weight issue might not be a problem. taking things out, you have to basically carry it on the hook of your arm to get it because the strap drop is short. depends how much you want to sacrifice beauty over comfort. you do bump into things, since the base is wide. it's a beautiful bag. HTH

It looks heavy and hard to get into! Thanks

I have been drooling over an Artsy Empriente for years. But I keep hearing the same thing, it's heavy and hard to get into. I guess not so much hard to get into, but I actually "played" with one for about an hour in the Nashville, TN LV boutique and I think after being spoiled by my Neverfull GM, anything else is hard to get into. I often say I'd like a zippered bag or a bag that is a little more closed like the Artsy, but when it came down to it I couldn't pull the trigger. The Neverfull has spoiled me. But I sure do want an Artsy. I guess I'm confused too, cause I'm all over the place.

I only like the Artsy in Empreinte! Once I add my belonging to the bag it will weigh a TON!!

I actually have the Empreinte Artsy in the color infini(Dark blue). To be completely honest with you, it is one of my favorite bags in my collection. Yes it is a little on the heavy side but it is nothing like what some people make it out to be. Maybe they are not used to all leather bags with hardware, which if that is the case is totally understandable. It is a little bit heavier than my Chanel GST. If you compare the empreinte Artsy to canvas, then yes you are going to notice a big difference in the weight. I carry my iPad air, MC cosmetic pouch, mini pochette, cles, 6 key holder, small wallet, cell, and charger/power plug for both iPad and cell. Even with all of these items, it is so comfortable on my shoulder. The strap is way more comfortable then that of canvas and without the break in time. Honestly, I say go to a boutique and ask to try it on. Really get a feel of the leather and the smell is absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! It is a bag that I will never take out of my collection. For me, I do not find it hard to get into at all. I have never heard anyone else say this about this bag. The corners on mine have held up good with no signs of wear. Just be careful when going through doors or brushing up against abrasive surfaces. I think this is how some people get wear on corners. Keep in mind I rotate my bags out every week.

Here are a couple of great youtube videos on this bag:

Excellent recent review of this bag.

I used to own the artsy empreinte in infini when the bag was first launched. It was sooo heavy that I eventually sold it. However, I recently purchased the artsy empreinte in earth and it is much lighter. My SA told me that they changed the empreinte artsy handle at some point and now it is lighter.

I'm going to spend some time in the LV boutique and make some decisions! Thanks

I don't find it any heavier than any other all leather bags with hardware. In fact I have an older Coach all leather bag that is about the same size that is twice as heavy as the Artsy. I have the one in noir and it is to die for!! Just gorgeous!!

It is heavy but I have no issues getting into it at all and I carry it on my shoulder most of the time.
