I believe the Dixie chicks were just against the war against Iraq, (rightfully so) and not anti-American.

Dixie Chicks were just playing to the European crowd, wanting to distance themselves from what was going on back home, and trying to appease their audience. I lost respect for them even if I generally agreed with their sentiment.

They weren't anti American they were anti Bush and rightfully so. They saw through the bs before everyone else became vocal about it.
