Are your bags true to size?

The hides are cut or stamped from substantial dies, then made up into packs for each bag
that are then delivered to the individual artisans

Although Hermes will have multiple sets of dies in all the sizes
it is unlikely that there will be any huge discrepancies between them.
Similarly although the individual artisans are responsible for setting the stitching holes,
the effective differences would be in the region of millimetres.

Again, although the bag numbers refer to the width, they are notional sizes rather than exact descriptors.
If any members are fortunate to have multiple bags of a given description in the same hide
e.g. K28 sellier, it would be interesting to know what the actual variation in size is.

As mentionned among all my H bags only few were exact same size (my 2 B25 Retourne and my B30 retourne)

My kelly’s were all with « discrepancies »
27.5 cm 1 K28 retourne
29 cm for other K28 retourne
23 cm for my K25

its not like building a spaceship, so dont mind some large tolerances:biggrin:, as long as can fit stuff in.

it'd better make the shoe size correct...lol...so far I personally has no shoe size issue, except need to size up for Chypre (2 sizes up)

No, in fact most of my retourne bags specifically are smaller than their given size. Granted, there are some sizing parameters within which the bags must fall, but Hermès isn’t going to reject a bag in Quality Control just because it’s 2cm too large or too small— that would be ridiculous.

(Imagine spending over a dozen hours making a bag only to be told, “Sorry, I know you’ve worked tirelessly on this bag for the last two days, but we’re going to have to destroy it simply because it’s a half cm too big.”)
2cm is life and death if I can fit my large phone with a big case

I am happy if you are ok with the bags, but if from 25 the next size is 28, then 2cm more or less is almost the next size😅 I personally still think that is too much. And if I pay a horrendous price for the bigger bag only to get one which is almost as small as the next smaller size... I dont know
