I like medium bags unless I’m traveling. Unless I’m going out with friends or on a date with my husband, I don’t find small bags practical for my lifestyle. I need to carry more than a card case, lip balm and a key.

I used to exclusively use medium sized shoulder bags, but now that I work remote and have kids, I have a small crossbody with keys, wallet, phone, lotion, and sunglasses, then an optional backpack with kids stuff and more (as in more kids stuff.. lol their needs are endless). I think this will change when I’m out of the baby + toddler phase, but I’m also only using nylon bags like the Longchamp XS and Lululemon small festival 🫠 kids are… sticky.

I remember when my son was young, I either had to carry 2 bags or one big one. Thank goodness teens carry their own stuff!

The longchamp XS is a beautiful little Gem, I don’t have kids and still love mine. Fits a lot to be an XS small and looks super stylish.
Adore that bag, it’s beautiful care free and stylish.

I’m interested the mini festival from Lou Lou Lemon, is it practical in size ?
I’m very open to all types and materials of bags, I used to be an only leather type of girl but in a short span of time I’ve opened myself that you can have something super nice in nylon bags and practical too.

All of my bags are lightweight including the big ones—I never load my bags up because I just do t like the idea of carrying extra stuff around.
Dropping kids off at school-small bag that can crossbody
Shopping or going in a lunch date with my husband -usuallly a goyard tote either in the pm size or the gm or a medium sized crossbody depending on my mood
Anything outside during the day -the GM sized tote so I can carry my hat, kids’ hats, etc.
Evening-small bag because I don’t need much and feel fancy with a clutch

I'm a large handbag fan : I like being able to carry A4 documents, and to throw into my bag random little purchases on my way.
This way I limit accepting paperbags from shops which will be used for only one hour.
Some days I use my only small bag (pochette Métis) because I love it, and I quickly find its size embarrassing (even if I'm managing to stuff a fabric tote in it for my shopping).
To be completely accurate I'm a fan of handheld large handbags, for shoulder carrying is painful after 5 minutes.

I feel the mini festival is stylish but isn’t as practical as the longchamp xs lp. It’s small, the back pocket is handy for protecting valuables like your wallet, but then it invades some of the space for the main pocket to hold. It’s really for carrying just the essentials. Pros are that it’s very lightweight and trendy!

My other current go-to is a random small crossbody from Allancia. It seems to be able to take a beating pretty well and right now that’s important!

Pre mobile phones I was a mini bag person -I bought my first Chanel in rue Cambon at 19- navy lambskin, now it wouldn’t fit most of the things I carry.

Now I’m mostly small to medium , although for going out I use a small bag and for travel a custom leather travel bag.

I don’t use my smallest bags and will probably sell them or gift to my dear Niece and replace them.

For years I used a Jimmy Choo navy crocodile bag which I’d bought which seemed the perfect size, but the bag I’ve been using recently had taken it’s place(also navy croc).

Mini to small bags only, max of about 25cm. Keys/wallet/phone.. that is pretty much all I carry. Work and travel being exceptions, those generally require a backpack. I did sell off everything I owned that didn't have a crossbody/removable strap -- I realized I primarily use and need that on all bags I own.

Thanks so much on that little review, I’ll go try it in store and see if it fits for me.
