When it comes to using bags for fun occasions like going out with your girls, walking at the mall and maybe some window shopping. Do you like to use small or large bags ?

I’m personally a small to medium bags because I can’t go out without my sunglasses. I just feel like something is missing if don’t have them with me that’s why need medium ish bag but still prefer them in the smaller spectrum.

Though it’s crazy my friends all go in the larger spectrum they are tote girls through and through and they wear them nicely hehe. Don’t have kids or neither is their work bag but they always go with large bags they like to have space for their cosmetics and a sweater or jacket in case the weather goes hot or cold

For your everyday fun bag how do you like them?
Large or small

Going out with the girls - very small
Walking the mall&window shopping - medium
Work - medium or large.
Everything depends on what I need to take with me, will I be shopping (need space to put my purchases), how long will I be gone etc. The size of the bag increases with hours spent away from home and also what the weather is like. In Finland at this time of year we basically might have 4 seasons in a day, so umbrella, gloves, scarf, sunglasses, head band, it all needs to be in the bag.

On a daily basis, I’m a medium bag person. I have one mini bag - I’ve used it maybe 5 times, and while it’s really cute, its lack of capacity annoys me so much. I won’t leave home without my essentials (makeup bag, wallet, phone, AirPods, tissues, gum, and most days a kindle), so my bag needs to fit all of those items. Plus I’m not a tiny woman, so I prefer the way medium bags look on my frame. The only time I ever use a larger tote bag, is when I’m traveling.

With kid outings, a large handbag is more functional and useful to carry everyone's belongings toys, snacks, wipes, water, sunglasses, makeup, etc. For dates and brunch outings, go with a small or medium-sized bag to carry your essentials. Ultimately it comes down to your personal preference and what makes you feel great!

I like medium bags. I think my ideal size is 11-12 inch wide, 7-8 inches high, and 5-6 inch in depth. lol. Rectangular in shape. With a handle and a wide strap (not an ugly guitar strap, a real leather strap).

This size is not so small that I can’t put a few extra things in when I need to….and not so big I feel like I’m carrying a huge item.

So far only three bags have fulfilled my criteria:
Fendi Lei
Loewe medium puzzle
LV speedy b 25

I don’t like changing bags so I want something that can be dressed up or down. For that purpose the black empreinte LV speedy b25 comes closest to ideal. But it is not perfect. I don’t really prefer the mailbox shape. I also much prefer a single handle vs two handles, which both the fendi lei and Loewe medium puzzle have.

Those two other styles also have straps I like better, wider for comfort and not too long. I really dislike narrow straps, even straps of regular width. I want at least 1 inch or more, 2 inch is best.

You see I have spent a lot of time thinking about my ideal bag and so far it does not exist. lol. I guess the Loewe medium puzzle is closest to ideal but I would want it in black with gold hardware, in the medium size, and it doesn’t exist, nor will it ever possibly exist sadly, given that Loewe is not really making medium size puzzles anymore.

I’ve had all three bags I mentioned, the Lei, the medium puzzle and the speedy b25. Sold the Lei and puzzle because they weren’t the colors I really wanted. I just bought them preowned to try out the style. So I know they both work for me.

I used to really love small bags but nowadays, I tend to lean medium-to-large. For work it needs to fit an iPad at least; but on weekends or shopping, I’ve learned that it’s very useful to have a tiny umbrella on hand at all times, whereas previously I would’ve just run the risk of getting rained on. I also really need my sunglasses now whereas in my 20s, I couldn’t care less! Gone are the days when I would run out of the house with just some cards and keys!

I'm definitely on the small handbag side of the spectrum. I find them to be more charming and, frankly, more practical for my frame, considering I'm petite. Large bags, while they can carry more, tend to become cluttered quickly in my experience, turning into a sort of "catch-all" that makes finding anything a bit of a treasure hunt. Plus, I believe smaller bags encourage one to carry only what's truly necessary, adding to their appeal for me.

I've always been very much a tote and larger shoulder bag girl (especially me being a big reader and I like to carry a book or two at all times), but I do use smaller bags for shopping and going out. I have a well-stocked collection of bags in various sizes.

I used to only carry large bags and fill it unnecessarily when I was a student but it really messed with my shoulders as I got older. I tend to carry smaller handheld bags now although I prefer that small bag can also be cross body as well!
