Are these bags redundant?

Thank you for sharing this! Interestingly, I think I've had my eye on this bag for so long because it looks like a great substitute for the LV Pochette Metis--a bag I loved in every way, except for the lock closure, which drove me nuts! That closure (and the fact that nearly everyone I know has a PM) is ultimately why I sold mine. So, I completely understand how important the closure of a bag is. I already have other Gucci bags with this type of closure and am fine with it. But I do wish Gucci would start giving us an outside pocket on all these bags. It's the one feature I often find I miss...

If you are fine with the closure I would get it, I do not think the bags are similar to have both! I really like the style other than the closure. I really like the Ophidia styles….

Thank you everyone! I ended up purchasing the Ophidia, and it's gorgeous!!! I've discovered that they're not redundant in my wardrobe as they have different uses because of how I would carry each. The Ophidia, while the same measurements as the 1955 Horsebit, fits more because it's a single, large space. I would also style it very differently. It's much more casual and carefree looking than the 1955 Horsebit.

I'm very happy to have both. They're forever bags for me that I can see myself getting a ton of use out over the years.
