I compare Stuart Weitzman shoes to Cole Haan shoes....good quality, but not astronomically expensive. I have a pair of each, and love them both.

I like Nine West shoes, I have a cute pair of flats that I wore all winter long....but they can't even compare to SW or CH.

I have shoes in all price ranges - from NW to SW to CL - I don't think too many of us run around in CL or Jimmy Choo ALL the time!!

Good call to keep them -they are lovely (I bought the same shoe in red!!)

I guess it just really depends on how much you love the SW ones and if the Nine West are as comfortable and as well made. It's always nice to get things cheaper but you don't want a pair that's going to fall apart on you.

I think his heels and boots hold up really well. (I've found the flats to be of mixed quality.) That said, I only buy them on sale. They're always on sale somewhere online, with a coupon at Bloomingdales (Nordstrom will price match) and at NR if you don't mind older styles. I might pay full price for SW shoes, but have never had to.

That's a classic, lovely shoe. I'd stick with it. If Nine West has similar shoes in more trendy colours, maybe spring for a pair. Other than that, you gets what ya pays for. I have quite a few SW shoes. Good quality shoes for a decent price.

Seems to be very mixed reactions on the board. I have many pairs of SW and I love most of them. I have had a pair or two that are like my higher end designers (need to be broken in) and have had several like my NW that are pretty comfortable from the beginning. I agree that normally you can find them on sale. I like them b/c his styles are classic enough that they don't scream trendy or designer. Works very well when I am being more reserved.

It's a case of finding shoes that fit your feet. I think it's the shoe's last. If that fits your foot, great. If not, you need to find other shoes.

I've bought a couple of pairs of Nine West. After an hour's wear, they'd be painful. They weren't the best choice for me.

Another problem for me with Nine West had been the price. There was an almost 100% price difference for them up in Canada as compared to the US. Some of it may have been the low Canadian dollar at the time. I'd see the shoes on the US site for $69 US and up here, they'd be $115 or more. It seems to be a bit better now and not such a huge discrepancy.

I vould vote for Stuart Weitzman 1000% if this would be possible.
I wear size 11 and no shoes like Louboutin or Manolos' or whatever other Italian brand is fit me.
I have a pair of Gucci and pair of Manolo's which I bought on-line in size 11 1/2 and they are one 1/2 size too small for me. Manolo make shoes 1 1/2 size smaller than advertised.
Stuart Weitzman is true to size most of the times, he is making shoes from size 4 to size 12 in 3 widths.
I don't know any shoemaker better that Stuart Weitzman.
He is incredible inventive and fan.
I had several Nine West shoes and boots, they are less than average quality. They would hold in a better case, for a year, nothing special in leather, usually glue on the side of the shoe, uncomfortable, with unstable heels.
I can wear Weitzman shoes any time in any heel lengths, including 3 3/4, my feet will tolerate his shoes better than anything else. Straps on Weitzman heels stay in place, they don't fall, I have a pair of snake slningback which I absolutely love and adore.
May be If I would fit in Prada or Loubitin or Manolo, I would rave about them, but I am not, and most of the designers don't even consider size 11 so I am very greatful Stuart Weitzman is in business. :yahoo:

I like SW basic pumps - they are very comfortable and hold up pretty well. I haven't really tried other SW styles, since I go for CLs or JCs for something special.
For their comfort and durability I would say it's worth their price tag.
I really do not recommend Nine West. They make the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE shoes ever!

omg i have those in red...the black open toed pic u have at the top and let me tell u they are the best heels i have had in a long time. i wear them everywhere...dont get me wrong nine west also has some fabulous shoes that i love just as much but the SW are great for walking, dancing, looking sexy in;) etc! go with both brands if you can afford them!
