Are excotic skins..Worth to go?

Wow..papertiger, your lovely & lux excotic peices really made me a jaw dropping!! They are so nice..!! Besides I feel like I m not walking alone on the decision line(coz you and other lovely Pfm have given me of great sharing along the way..)
So yes, my another choice besides the lizard one is LV empriente as papertiger just mentioned..hei hei. I m kind of easy to get bored for those regular leather that we have seen everyday...so, that's why I came up with an idea of excotic one(I thought it likes,.. endless details everytime you looking at the wallet/ pattern of the skin). Then once I have learnt from lovely experienced ppl here about them, I migjt have to hold that excitement but to understand that its not that easy in some way to have these kind of magic skin
Even for the LV my 2nd choice, somehow deep down..I might again..feel bored later on..+_+(coz it just a calf skin with monogram imprinted..yes, beauty..cute..glamour...lux...buttaa..heumm) sorry for my picky..hei hei
Let's say..my thread now would also open to any other ideas of any type of wallets(and kind of skin) that Pfm here may think it may interrested that i might like.. so many thanksss

I have lizard pieces going back to the 1950s (like my Bellstone below, to the rear - so that's over 60 yo). It's like most things, to buy once, buy quality. It's impossible to restore skins when they're 'gone' but good specialists may be able to add moisture (recondition) if the skin looks dry. I would say apart from don't get them drenched in the rain, exotics need a little more care in storage and that's it.

i have a few items, all pre-loved pythons, all with natural long scales ... tbh i'm 80% in love with them and 20% freaked out by them

I m sorry if this thread may repeated or annoying(as I can't find much thread of these..). I like to hear some info/opi/sharing regard the excotic skins for either purse/wallet whether, Are they worth to buy? I mean in term of durable,beauty,unique rarity...!?!
I also wondering that Why they are some kind of many unsold on the window(display) even from last season..!! like GC Wallets(python skin)...Prada wallets(lizard)...The price? or actually no one like to buy excotic skins..!?!?

I've had good luck with python and alligator bags wearing well, and I'm hard on them. Python wallets can't take my beating and I've had the same issue as others with scales pulling up on those. I think a lot depends on the finish...but then again, my sister got BLUE PEN on her matte python tote and somehow got that off? Gave me a mild heart attack but she saved it, lol.

Thank you, you're too kind! And yes we both tweaked out, but buffed the mark with just water and it came off relatively easily, no discoloration. Very surprised cause it's such a light color. Thank you handbag gods!!

I think it has more to do with the design, price is one factor but i think design is the most important thing . I personally would buy exotic bags if it looks natural , which means the designer simply make an awsome designed bag with exotic skin . But I won’t buy one that only using exotic skin as selling point .
