Makes me wonder how a large bag would fit my lifestyle today… no longer need a diaper bag and baby supplies (unless i need adult diapers for myself…heehee), my boss lady days are behind me (as most of my meetings are on line, and no longer need a big bag to “announce my presence” as I walk into a room full of suits), and I expect to be taking less non-essential trips in the future… makes me cringe about having to carry all that weight!

I hope so! Frankly, I've never been much of a fan of small bags. I prefer medium- to large-sized bags, and if they're having a comeback, then I'm here for it! As long as they're not too heavy.

I have a Kurt Geiger Kensington Macro bag, it's HUGE. It's the same width and height as my cabin size suitcase. I thought of carrying it as a massive clutch with the big chains tucked in.

The problem with big bags is that you want to fill them and then you quickly regret it :giggle:
I just googled it and oh my god, it's more like a pillow than a bag! :eek:But it's lovely. Especially in that green color.

Big bags never went anywhere! The stars are just carrying their own big bags now - when the micro bags were hot it was the assistants that carried the workhorse bags while the celebs were prancing around with a bag the size of a box of matches.

But, as they say, when you carry the same thing for ages, it will finally be fashionable again. So it seems I'm right on trend now! And that's twice within a year since I never gave up hobos either. :giggle:

Oh, I so wanted that bag!!! It seems really impractical for my life and I doubt I would have carried it enough, but still...it's one of those bags that are so OTT that it makes you wanna own them just for the sake of it. Would look great as an oversized clutch as well.
And you're right about filling any bag to it's brim - it always happens! No matter if you leave home with a half empty bag, it mysteriously gathers things in it during the day so when you get back home, the bag weighs a ton. And most of the things inside it make no sense.

I'd be excited to see big bags back! Micro bags were amusing on a red carpet or so but not super useful and felt more like clutter to me. I appreciate a good card case or small wristlet but the microbags that look more like a child's "my size Barbie" accessory seems kinda "eh" to me.

Might be biased since big bags are most practical for me day-to-day since I commute via bus/train and live in an area with unpredictable weather so in addition to wallet, keys, phone, etc also carry an umbrella or hand-fan and a reusable water bottle and foldable shopping bags when running errands and my work padfolio and sometimes even my lunch and who knows what else is in here haha.
