A: Hi, Thanks for your interest. The Dogon wallet was a gift to my wife from the parents of one of her private school students. Unbidden, some parents give expensive gifts to those who can further their children's college prospects. Obviously when receiving such a gift - unbidden and out of the blue - one doesn't ask for authenticity or to see the sales slip. My wife thinks the wallet is authentic based on her knowledge of the parents who gave it to her. Since we received this question, we have contacted Hermes and asked them how to authenticate this wallet, but have not received a response from them. If you or other ebayers know the answer, we look forward to hearing from you."
