I have a dogon bought from Hermes - can't find a blindstamp anywhere and I've looked with a flashlight in the inner pockets.

Flossyfigaro's looks authentic to me.

Hi lovely authenticators, can check with you whether if this is authentic?

Comment: I know Flossy is a very nice reputable seller in ebay and highly rave here but she mention that she could not find the blindstamp in this wallet. When I ask whether can she find it detaily for me, she mention that she do not want to unpack what she has packed in ready shipping form.

If it is really without blindstamp, should I get it? I do not want people who slightly know about Hermes know that every SLG has a blindstamp but I don't have, he/she might think it is a fake.
Sincerely. Thanks

I was recently searching for the blindstamp in a Bearn wallet with two SA's in my Hermès and we almost couldn't find it - it was so faint and practically lost in the grain of the leather.

mistikat, so does it means that you ends up couldn't find the blind stamp at all? How do you feel without a blindstamp? I know it doesn't matter functional wise but emotionally, what if someone ask 'why yours doesn't have a blindstamp' they might imply in a way that 'Come on, that is a fake!'. Gosh, I do not want that to happen to me.
How bout the other 2 wallets I have posted? How they look to you? Authentic?

markova, but in the end you still manage to find the blind stamp? That is the point. Now flossyfigaro mention that she could not find one.

To all, why does the coin purse in the dogon wallet look funny? I thought it supposed to have 2 cards slots (one horizontal and one vertical) rather than just one horizontal card slot slamp in the middle on the coin purse?

I cannot locate the date blind stamp on both my Azap wallets.... and I purchased both of them from a H shop at Siam Paragon in Bangkok .....

sydspy, thanks for sharing. But now the issue is no longer jus blindstamp alone. But the different in coin purse. Normal dogon coin purse has 2 card slot, this only has one. It seems funny.

dinitegrity........ Dogon wallet with the 2 card slot on the coin purse is actually the new version of the Dogon which is called a combined Dogon Wallet, but the one on flossy figaro's auction is the earlier model.........IMHO......

Ysaito54 once told me--a propos another item--that not everything authentic has a blindstamp; that is the craftperson's decision. On the other had, pretty much everything fake WILL have a blindstamp (it's not exactly a secret).

Comments: I messaged them to find out what the Date stamp said as I couldn't really tell what it said and they sent a message back saying it was a D.

Please authenticate as this is a wallet that I have been searching for, for sometime.

Thank you. (I did serch to see if someone else had asked about this and found a request in the handbag section but still can't find an answer. So, I hope that I am not being repetitive.)

I've been told by SAs and resellers that not all authentic smaller leather goods will have blindstamps. There are occasions when blindstamps are faint and if the piece was used, it will be a tad more difficult to detect. I guess there isn't really any consistency.
