Thanks so much for your opinion Fleurs! May I ask which are the details that appear odd to you? As far as I'm concerned it's the deformed shape of the leather that bothers me, but the lock, the logos and the crafmanship and Id numbers look ok to me ... :thinkin: Waht do you think?

Scarf: Au Cuirs de Desert

Comments: I already purchased this scarf. When I opened the package, there was a discoloration of the silk on one end. I messaged the seller and he said he didn't know about that and I should send it back. I liked the scarf and considered keeping it(he has relisted it exactly the same way, even though I still have the scarf....). Upond closer examination here are a few concerns I have.

1. The edges where they are handsewn, are not sewn neatly. I have compared it to a few other Hermes scarves I own and the others are sewn with stitches that are neater and spaced more evenly.
2. The Hermes Paris, Logo is hot stamped and not part of the Fabric. The Hot stamping is subtle and I had to really look in the light to see it.
3. There are strains showing on the edge of the scarf. I can't explain it any better than that, its almost like the silk isnt' thick enough?

Should I send it back(he said he would refund me)
Keep it?

hi all!

would like to get an opinion on 2belts that i have bought which i have my doubts regarding authenticity. i know i should've posted here before purchase and i stupidly forgot to do so.
please if someone could help that'd be fantastic. not very good at telling fakes yet so an expert opinion would be much appreciated

both belts were from the same seller

Hi

The exterior stitching looks a little odd, although that of the interior looks fine. Given the irregular shape of the bracelet, which I imagine is due to it not being well cared for generally, it is then inconsistent that the exterior is very white and very clean. I suspect that the exterior has been covered with white liquid shoe polish or similar. This may well have the effect of making the stitching look off.

Other details look okay although the Hermes Paris Made in France of the interior looks a bit odd but that may be due to the photograph or wear which may make it look distorted.

Sometimes it is just not possible to authenticate an item from photographs alone and one needs to inspect the item personally.
