I have had a look at the photographs of this belt, as provided in the eBay listing, and while some are out of focus I do not see any areas of concern. It is my view that it is authentic Hermès. Hermès do not provide an authentication service.

I have had a look at the photographs of this belt, as provided in the eBay listing, and I see many areas of concern. It is my view that it is NOT authentic Hermès.

Hermes experts please help!

Is the current Boucle Sellier collection of sterling silver 925 bracelets and neckaces plated with rhodium or similar? They are VERY shiney.

If so when did this start roughly? I want to buy a bracelet to match a necklace on ebay but am worried it will not match in finish....

Hi

If they are solid Sterling Silver 925 I very much doubt they are plated with anything. New they will be very shiny and as Silver is a soft metal it scratches from first use to develop a patina. The new and old will therefore appear the same in time with use. You may wish to post this question in the main area of the Hermes forum which is where is probably belongs rather than here. It may be an idea also to call Hermes and ask if the Sterling Silver items are plated.
