Does this look right? I am looking to get one for my daughter and perhaps for my son as H is our family's initial. I have a real one already for my husband which I bought directly from Hermes some years ago, but it sure is hard to tell quality from a photo. I'd appreciate any input. The stitching in my DH's is white on the brown side and black on the black side, plus the black leather is smooth, not pebbled. The Hermes/Paris/Made in France stamp on the belt is gold and there are two symbols and a size pressed in the leather by the end, none of which I see on this ebay belt.

Clearly, I ought to go into an Hermes store to see what new ones look like, before I dare buy off ebay. Also his didn't come with a big orange dust bag, just lots of white tissue and a cute little camel colored bag for the buckle to keep it from getting marred. Of course, things may well have changed.

I would appreciate learning what I should be looking for in real ones at auction - and what would be red flags (big orange bags?). I have read through many posts, but can't quite seem to get the hang of it yet. Sigh. Thanks :confused1:

Weirdly enough I think it maybe
I have not seen this model with the H on the front before
however looking at the details it does smack of H in many ways
I will try look it up in my little book

Thank you Ardneish, I thought so too. It looks like it SHOULDN't be, then then it does. I'm very interested in what your little book says. I forgot I had one, going to look too:p.

Comments: Thanks again!

Yes thats looking OK, but to really see it as it is
I would ask for some daylight photo's without flash this would show the skin much better and the colour

I wonder how they can make the background so white

Feedback would be greatly appreciated:

Comments: I did email the seller and request clarity on the date stamp and the seller replied that it is difficult to read.

Any thoughts on authenticity as well, condition for price as posted in photos?

Yes it is looking authentic , and I agree the date stamp is hard to make out, but with a jewelers glass I am sure that could be done.

However looking at the photo of the underneath of the front flap there does appear to be some discoloration, this maybe due to a flash being used but I would ask for some daylight photo's
I would also ask for some photo's of the corners of the bag. to see how much wear is showing up there
Clemence is also such a floppy leather and quite heavy I understand
but a nice bag all the same

There is an authenticate this bag thread were there are many experts I would suggest posting it there to ask there views

Thanks. You are most likely correct. It does look stiff and my DH's leather belt is so soft and supple. I've noticed that fake Hermes bags tend to have leather like cardboard. We have a resale store near us that used to sell them (and fake Chanel bags) as real used ones. Last time I ventured in they did say the Chanels were copies and didn't seem to have the fake Birkins anymore.

It seems that I need to visit an Hermes store to see what is current in dust bags, leather and stitching before I dare bid.

Hi Ardneish, were you able to find anything on the wallet? Does S in a O help? So curious now:p...
