I've got two as well. I had always had my eye on a particular solitaire for my future engagement ring. However, on the day we decided to go look for engagement rings, I suddenly spotted a gorgeously designed band that stole my heart. They were two entirely different rings, and I opted for the band, as it was IMO equally gorgeous and probably more practical. During our engagement, I unexpectedly became ill and underwent open-heart surgery across the country. This was quite a profound journey we endured together, and soon after we returned home and my recovery was well underway, my DF surprised me with that exact solitaire too! So now I have my health :yahoo:, my prince charming :tender:, and two rings! I use the band daily, and my solitaire for special occasions. Love him!!!

I have 2. Chinese always believe never trade in or sell off the first wedding ring. So most people will just keep their first one if they upgrade to buy a bigger diamond.

I'm the oldest grand daughter and I got a fair amount of the jewelry from my older relatives.

I have my grandmothers she had no stone in her rings, they were in a bracelet instead- melted down and created my dh's wedding ring with her rings and kept the bracelet which was what held the sentimentality for me .

my mother's 1.5ct sol sitting in the bank waiting until I figure out what to create with it, the thing is cursed in my head it was used in my aunt's 1st marriage and then my mom bought it from her since she liked the stone and her marriage failed too, NO way I'm wearing it as is, my mom won't even wear it, lol

I will keep MIL's set for dd to do as she pleases.

My ring now will become a rh ring when I upgrade, I will not sell or change this in anyway! Again due to sentimental value.
