I personally prefer the look of the canvas over vernis/epi... maybe I just prefer canvas over leather in general. Although I think the pomme vernis zippy wallet is gorgeous! From what I've seen, the canvas pieces tend to last awhile.

I am practically afraid to stick polished nails in my bag, let alone a multiple-hundred-euro wallet that damages easily. I loved the vermis yellow shade and the epi Gris with yellow interior. But I've had pretty wallets in light leather and know its asking for trouble. So instead I will spend that on bags that at least show. And I'll make sure my wallet will function and withstand the chaos of my bag's interior ;)

I have a monogram zippy large wallet right now it's the first one I've purchased I love it!!! It hold everything I need and gives me no hassle... But next I really want the yellow vernis zippy because it's so unique and different so either way I don't think I can complain.. But on top of it I don just throw things in my bag I'm very careful and cautious as to what touches it and how I handle my items

I have to agree, the mono canvas wallets last forever without showing any signs of wear. I have one from 2002 that still looks new! I carry it daily in whatever handbag I'm currently using. The vernis wallets are gorgeous, but if they are in your bag they are bound to be exposed to wear and tear. I agree with the poster who commented it's better to get vernis pieces you "wear" and enjoy vs a functional wallet. I also like matching my accessories. It just makes me feel more organized. All of my accessories are in the monogram canvas, but I have bags in damier azur, mono, vernis and plan to get something in damier ebene as well. It doesn't bother me to use the mono with other bags. They are classic and quality.

I have a monogram Josephine Wallet and now considering the Josephine in the Epi. My mono has held up very well considering how many times it is used. Thank you for posting this I too would like to hear the opinions.
