Anyone think they have too much jewelry?

I have a lot of costume jewellery but only now since having a baby daughter I've started buying only fine jewellery because I know it'll be able to be handed down to her xMMx

For me, it's the few pieces that I hardly wear (eg really uncomfortable mother of pearl WG diamond earrings, all pink watch) that sometimes make me think if I have too much jewellery.

That said, I still have a jewellery wish list!

I love your assessment, it's very disciplined. I have a few more pieces I would like to acquire, from the perspective that I would definitely wear them/I occasionally feel like there's a gap in my jewellery collection, namely:

1. Asscher diamond studs

2. T&Co Aria pearl earrings

3. T&Co Aria pearl necklace

4. Double strange classic pearl necklace

5. Boucheron Eternelle Grace WG/RG diamond eternity band

6. RB white diamond and turquoise DBTY-style necklace in YG

7. WG and white diamond DBTY or station delicate necklace (thinking currently 3 or 5 heart-shaped diamonds or 3 heart shaped diamonds and two round brilliant morganites)

8. YG or RG statement ring such as Bvlgari B. Zero1

9. Rolex watch (ideally WG pearlmaster with white face and diamond markers)

After that, anything else would be pure indulgence. I have a beautiful statement diamond necklace, lots of decorative or 'occasion' earrings and a lovely delicate diamond bracelet. Everything gets plenty of wear, which I think is the main thing with any jewellery/clothes/shoes/accessories :D

UPDATE: I'm very excited because #1 on my wishlist above is actually in the midst of being set - my DF surprised me with two very beautiful loose Asscher cut diamonds, 1.02 cttw to be made into beautiful studs. I'm so thrilled, they're will be very understated and classic, perfect for everyday and for travelling as well.

:graucho:yes! I have or actually had too much jewelry. Too many rings to be precise. And I kept wishing for more. :roflmfao: It was and is such a weak spot. However, in practice I had a few favourites and wasn't wearing all my rings on a regular basis.

I then was able too buy my dream ring: a 5,3 ct solitaire. I had to sell 4 rings to be able to buy it and this first bit of downsizing in favour of my absolute favourite felt as a relief.

I have now sold more rings as well as transformed some into a set of dream rings, which make me feel much better about my jewelry collection.

My collection now consists of:
My OEC solitaire dreamring
My upgraded wedding ring with diamonds
A very sturdy and broad WG ring with diamonds on the upper and lower side
OEC 2ct studs
A delicate WG necklace with 1,05 c diamond
'Sturdy' wg little hoops
3 pearl strands: baroque, Tahiti and a long South Sea strand and Earrings with baroque pearls
Rolex and Cartier watches in Stainless Steel
A modern set of Wg and coral long necklace and earrings
5 sets of Combination rings: :graucho:
1. Delicate YG Morganne Bello rings (3 rings)
2. WG Rings with sones that represent my family (3 rings)
3. RG set of 5 rings, one with my old diamond an one with a stone I received from my aunt years ago
4. A set of 3 YG and RG rings made from bracelets I inherited but could not wear because they were 22 carat gold (one with my ,94 ct diamond)
5. 2 WG pearl and wood rings that I can wear in combination with my solitaire
A wood, WG and antique diamonds cocktail ring
2 wave bracelets in WG and RG that I do not wear often though...
Art ring and wood necklace ring that I bought in an art gallery
Some silver 'arty' jewelry
Antique bracelet that I got from my parents (favourite bracelet)
Costume necklaces from Chanel etc. that are great to spice up a simple dress

Now, I am happy with my collection :p:p:p

I just loooove jewelry so I will always have an upgrade or transformation running, but I will not endlessly buy more and more rings. But it does help that I can regards some rings as a 'set': so 3 rings count as one. Lol

Thanks Candice, me too!! :woohoo: I always wanted to wait for a pair around the 1.5-2ct per ear (Asschers generally facing up quite small for carat weight) but DF surprised me with these and they absolutely took my breath away - G colour, VVS2, perfectly matched and so understated and elegant, I am really excited about them!

Can't wait to see them, what a sweetheart your DF is!

Thanks dear :hugs: He sure is, he wanted to give these to me once set for our two year anniversary which isn't until July but then last week he picked me up a little bottle of Chanel 1932 (which I was dying for) and then he got too excited and sprung the loose stones on me as well. Then he sent me off for big chats with my jeweller about how to set them :D Going to keep it simple, just WG, very small claw setting, let the stones really be seen :girlsigh:

These are the loose diamonds - they're not great pics but I just snapped a few before I took them down to my jeweller a couple of days ago :p

I shouldn't be so impatient but I really hope he sets them quickly - I can't wait to have these babies in my ears. We're going away for our anniversary on a nice driving holiday along the southern coast and I'm insanely looking forward to wearing these - simple, elegant, chic...so unlike me!!! :graucho::roflmfao:
