Anyone still use their classic speedy?

I bought my classic mono speedy 25 last year and have already used her several times. :heart:I love both the elegant and timeless look of the bag and the smell of the vacchetta  I prefer to use my classic speedy in situations where I either don’t intend to carry her the whole time in my hands (e.g. if being on a visit) or don’t need to be handsfree. For a handsfree scenario, I take my de speedy 25 in the bandouliere version out. Although the b version is more comfy and versatile due to a strap, the classic speedy in mono doesn’t have so much vacchetta to worry about and offers an amazing value for money. :flowers:

I have been doing a huge closet purge of different brands of bags and my LV. My speedy 30 I definitely kept. Even though it seems like everyone has a neverfull or speedy I kept mine. I didn’t really use my speedy much but now that I have limited myself to 5 LV bags :/ will definitely be in my rotation more often! I have always loved my speedy 30 :).

I bought the Neverfull MM in Damier Ebene for work but then I changed jobs and no longer need such a large bag. I too find neverfulls to be common, however I don't know if that's because I own one and know what louis vuitton is as previously I didn't notice them. I see them everywhere in the chicago suburbs but in central London (where I've lived most of my life) I didn't see a single neverfull or speedy.

I have a speedy 30 in azure which I use in spring/summer season. I love it because of the zip and the sleek design. I don't carry a lot so its a good size and also good value for money. I didn't get a the one with the strap because I didn't want it to rub on my clothes and then have color transfer.

I am thinking of getting a monogram speedy B 40 for travel. I don't like the two long bangs on the keepall as I think they would get dirty at the bottom when traveling. Mon-monogram would be ideal but I think its very poor value for money considering its screen printed and people have commented that they have seen asymmetry with the painting.

I would like to get the speedy b 30 for my mom in admire ebene as a birthday present. She is 54 and would use the bag for work and grocery shopping. Would this be a good idea?

I just bought a Speedy 30 classic de and I love the look. Haven't gotten a chance to wear her though. I've been fantasizing about this bag since I first noticed it (2005), so I can't imagine parting with it.

I also tried on the Speedy b25 several times, in mono and de. While I like it on other people and like how practical it is, I was not convinced the times I tried it. Maybe it's less 'urgent' for me to have a crossbody bag since I own the PM and YSL camera bag. I do however think the sizing of the 25 is perfect for everyday use.

Where I live, I see way more NF's than Speedy around. I own a NF de and just ordered the empreinte noir. As long as it works for me it doesn't bother me that much.

Here are all the speedies I've had. I never use my two classic speedy 30s. I use my nano speedy the most. These days I prefer a smaller bag with a strap. But I think the classic mono speedy is beautiful, you should definitely go for it!

I have a Speedy 40B and I use it almost everyday... it is honestly one of my ride or dies... I am also considering purchasing a vintage Epi Speedy 35 so I can still carry the bag everyday, but in a more discreet manner. Also thinking of getting the Multicolour Speedy 30's in the Blanc and Noir - because I have always liked them and why not?

Surprisingly, where I live I see an even split of people carrying Neverfulls, classic Speedy's and Speedy B's. I have actually seen the OnTheGo a few times IRL as well.

I see so many Neverfulls where I live, but very rarely a classic speedy. I actually love the look of them, especially in monogram with worn vachetta, and want to finally purchase one.
If you own one, do you still use it?
I still use them and I saw people using them quite often too

I'm relatively new to LV and after hearing people on TPF and YouTube rave about their Speedys, I decided to give it a try. I wasn't a fan of top-handle bags (probably because one was ripped out of my hand and stolen many years ago), so this past September I got the Speedy B 25 in DE -- I figured the optional cross-body strap would be a good option in case I didn't like carrying it as a top handle. Well, I fell in love! And unexpectedly, I didn't use the cross-body strap. I loved the bag so much that I just had to get it in DA -- since I figured I wouldn't use the cross-body strap I went with a classic 25. I'll probably have to wait a few more weeks to use it (gotta love the rainy PNW springs . . .), but I'm so excited to use it! I definitely see why this is such a classic bag. It may be because I only used cross-body and shoulder bags for so many years, but carrying this top-handle cutie just feels so special and luxe!
