Anyone still like the Capucines?

Hi
I’ve just bought a beautiful preloved Capucines which is in lovely condition other than some damage to the handle. Looking at the way it’s designed I can’t see how this damage can be avoided as the leather sits against the edge of the sharp rings. So is this to be expected with a used version of this bag? Thank you :)

It is not normal. The bad is very structured, the handle stands on its own. This seems as if it was regularly pushed down against the horizontal bar between the edges of the ring. The damage doesn't look being done by the edges of the ring itself. This bag was not handled with care. Or the shipping box was too tight and pushed it and it was in there for long. I don't know, but it is not OK.

I love the Capucines. I think it’s the ultimate LV bag and I’ve just bought a stunning preloved one. But is there a design fault with the handle? There’s wear where it sits against the sharp edges of the rings - and I don’t see how it could be avoided. The rest of the bag is in beautiful condition but the handle has suffered due the way it’s designed. Has anyone else found this with theirs?

The bag is structured and the handle stands alone - but flops forward slightly against the ring - which has caused this damage. You can see here how it sits against the ring. I guess I’ll have to return it

The handle should stands upright and will not press against the ring. If you really love the bag and think it’s worth the price, maybe you could wrap a bandeau on handle to cover the damaged part and make the handle more upright and doesn’t flop towards one side.

Yes, as @23adeline said, it should not be like that. I don't know how much a handle repair would cost for a Capucines, if they still have this colour in stock of course.

Mine is still in new condition don't have that kind of wear at all.

That is odd; the handle leather on mine has no possible way to touch/rub on the metal piece.

I returned the bag today. I think it was faulty. Came home with this lady instead. Not at all practical I know but I love her and she’ll only be used for special occasions :)
