Anyone shop or sell on Etsy?

Hi, got a problem with an Etsy seller, don’t know if anyone was ever in the same situation. Bought a leather bag (about 150 dollars) to a well rated seller. When it arrived, the bag was clearly PVC and I asked for a refund. The seller is ok to refund me at two conditions: that I pay for sending the bag back and that I change my evaluation from one to five stars. I find this dishonest and don’t know what to do… he says the bag « «doesn’t meet my expectations » IMO he was not honest selling pvc instead of leather and I shouldn’t pay for that. Does anyone know if I can contact Etsy to have a full refund? If I change my evaluation, how other customers will know that the bag is not leather? I’m really embarrassed… TIA for your advices.

Little update : the seller accepted to fully reimburse me and I won’t have to send back the bag. They never really admitted that it was pvc but letting me keeping it is the same… It’s a shame as the shape of the bag is so pretty… well I guess I’m vaccinated now and won’t try again to buy a bag on Etsy.

I have been shopping on Etsy for YEARS and only in the last 12 months or so have I gotten things that are obviously drop-shipped. I found a lovely bracelet in a listing that was just the right shape. It arrived last week and while it was silver in color, the "metal" was the same one you find in silver-colored plastic silverware. I complained, they refunded my purchase and didn't even ask for it back.
Anyway, when you check to see what reviews say, click on the reviewer. I'm finding that people are creating profiles to "like" products and talk about how happy they are with their purchase, but they're profiles that have no purchases recorded.
