I'm going to Japan next month and am going to take advantage of the weak yen and VAT refund but have heard that inventory in Japan is bad because everyone has the same idea. I have some pieces in mind.. Sweet Alhambra earrings in onyx, YG guilloche Alhambra pendant, Agate 5 motif bracelet.. maybe a frivole necklace too. What was your shopping experience like in Japan? I'll be in Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka so i can try going to multiple locations. Also does anyone have an SA contact they can share?

I just came back from Japan two days ago! Inventory was very very low. I was on the hunt for the 5 motif bracelets and they told me it was sold out everywhere in Japan. One store in Osaka had the diamond 5 motif. They also told me they couldn’t check the inventory at other stores. I did see a lot of the vintage Alhambra necklaces in mother of pearl and onxy at every store I went to. I went to about 4 locations in Tokyo and 1 in Osaka and 1 in Kyoto. Since I was Tōkyō longer, I checked the two that were close to me everyday I was there but no luck. If you can, try to go first thing in the morning (opening time) when they receive shipment because I heard that’s probably the only way you might get sometime because everyone and their mothers were at VCA. Good luck!

thanks for the info. Did you happen to see the RG sweet Alhambra 16 motif necklace or RG pave Alhambra pendant by any chance?

My friend shopped at the Ginza store today and the SA checked other store’s inventory when the piece she wanted wasn’t in stock at the boutique. They were able to locate it nearby and the manager went to pick it up, returning after 30 mins with it.
Seems that the sales practice may vary by store or prefecture….

I was in Japan 2 weeks ago and visited 5-6 boutiques in Tokyo. Low stock everywhere. I was hoping to get a vintage 5 motif bracelet in WG and ended up scoring a sweet alhambra bracelet in WG with diamond and WG guilloche pendant.

I’m in Japan right now and they have very limited stocks. Tried going to every store in Ginza everyday for the last 2 days. They only get the MOP, GMOP and diamond vintage pendant. When I asked for Onyx, they said they only have single pieces so even if I joined the queue, it will be sold by my turn.

I think most people go to the Ginza Maison and Ginza Six stores. I ended up finding more Alhambra pieces in the store inside Seibu in ikebukuro and Mitsukoshi in Nihonbashi. If you have time I suggest you go and check out all the stores in Tokyo.

Did you see any of the perlee items there? Curious if they had those in stock!
