I don't know where you live, but my local Nordstrom's have had several of Betsy Johnson's bags marked way down...half off or more. In fact, I just bought and returned one. Loved the style but finally decided I needed to put the money towards a bag I really, really want. So, if you're near a Nordy's, prowl their sales tables and you might find a similar good deal!

That's a really, really heavy bag. I actually returned it to Nordstrom because it was so heavy. And heavy usually doesn't bother me.

About Betsey, I still have a closet full of her clothes from the 80's, just can't bear to part with them! Although I'll never fit in them again.

Also she's done leopard print totes and carry on type bags for years now. Along with the odd handbag. She seems in full swing on the handbags now and even branched out to the cell phone market.

I was tempted to buy that "Good Girl" hobo...it looked really cute. But I loathe heavy bags since I usually carry so much stuff, so thanks for the very useful info!!

And I just got the latest W magazine today (we get it way later here) and it said some fashions from the 80's are starting to return!! :smile1:

She's an icon and a wacky life-loving ultra creative one at that.
A few bags from last year caught my eye but had to have this one:
Fantastic detail and the best animal print interior, nice leather. I got a lot of compliments on it which surprised me. I love the occasional whimsical bag.

i have one and bought another but returned it. i agree, they do seem a bit of an improvised IF. i have the good girl. it is too heavy, really. generally they have a lot of metal accents. i don't feel the quality is as IF to be so much like that design.
