Anyone have this David Yurman ring?

Does anyone own the David Yurman petite albion ring in Citrine? If so, what do you think of it? I wanted to get it, but I wasn't too sure about the color, whether it's too orangey. Below is a pic of LC wearing hers...

I love it! Every stone is slightly different in color so you can find a citrine that you don't think is "too orangey" just go to several D.Y retailers an take a look at some different citrines!

I have the blue topaz though, the citrine doesn't look as nice on my skin tone !

My wife (Jan228) has the 18k gold version with red garnet. It is a great looking ring! We have seen all of them at one point or another. Fun, pretty piece.

thanks for the advice!! the thing is i have to get a size 5 which the DY store in NYC has in stock (usually they only have 6's and 7's). i wear smaller than a 5 on my middle finger so i can size down. all other places I called only have size 6 which i can't size down more than 1 whole size w/o disrupting the cable. ppl did tell me the stones varies in color, so that's what i was afraid of. i don't want it too orangey. i have really really light skin tone. do you think that that'll look weird on me?

Could you ask the store to send you the ring before sizing it? That way you can make sure the color is to your liking.

i'm so bad. i just called up the dy store and ordered it. it's arriving tomorrow. i've been wanting it for a while, so i hope the color is okay. i'm thinking if i don't like it, then maybe i can exchange for a different color, maybe blue topaz.

I have this exact ring and I get tons of compliments on it. I have an 11mm onyx as well as while I love chunky jewelry, they are both striking, just for different reasons. I actually bought a size 6 and had it sized down to a 5 and it is perfect. The cables actually look quite nice and it didn't disrupt them hardly at all. There is a small line on the underside of the ring where you can tell the cut was made but that is it. Go for it!

I have the Cable Candy version of this ring (instead of diamonds surrounding the citrine, it's yellow sapphire). It is really beautiful and the color is quite unexpected. I wouldn't call it orange but it is a darker yellow color. If you don't like it, exchange for the onyx. I have that ring too and it goes with absolutely everything.

I have the 14mm version of this ring and needed to have it sized up. You can order directly from DY but it takes several weeks! I was too impatient to wait that long so I let Neiman Marcus send it to one of their preferred jewelers. On the underside of my finger, you can see a line and a smooth finish. But, who looks on the underside of the finger? Nothing about the sides, top, or beauty of the ring has been taken away!

As for the color - it depends. I was absolutely in love with the Onyx for years! Finally, when I went to the store to purchase it, I ended up leaving with a Smoky Quartz! It's still got the darkness that I love, but isn't opaque like the Onyx. Shop around, until you find the one you love!!!
