Thanks everyone for posting this - how much of a good relationship do you have to have with your SA to be added even if you were not invited? I’m wondering whether to even ask…
I think you at least need a good purchase history.
Invites are limited due to covid and I went last time with a friend that put herself on the list while checking out. She did not receive an invite.
She called customer service and they said that clients from the boutique are prefered to the clients that only purchase at the sale.
She went to hermes to have her watch serviced the next day and asked again. This time they said that it’s random and invites are sent out to clients regardless of their purchase history but that the number of invites are limited

Happy holidays (and sale) ✨

I’m going to the Paris sale next week, first time I will be going when it’s invitation only. I am hoping that the lines aren’t bad when it’s invitation only? Can anyone confirm?
From my experience : no queue to enter but the lines for the shoes can be long (20 to 45 minutes if I remember well). Expect to wait for jewellery too.

Thank you QueenieQ. I will do jewelry first then.

20-45 minutes at an H sale is nothing. I have done 2.30 am line ups outside followed by two hour waits for jewelry inside and an hour in each scarf line.

As far as I know, the sale is going ahead, despite the rise in cases. There hasn’t been much of a wait to get in at the past couple of editions, as long as you stick to your timeslot.

As @QueenieQ says, the real queuing is inside, for shoes, jewelry and scarves. There might a dedicated Oran line, as well.

Hand sanitizer at every department too.

I’m coming to Paris from the US in a few days and won’t have an invitation but am wondering if the sale is open to non-French shoppers. I stumbled across it about fifteen years ago by happenstance and it was one of the highlights of my trip; am hoping I might be able to relive a little of that excitement.

Since COVID they have been very stingy with their invitations to the sale in France (I didn’t have an easy time getting invited after moving here from the UK, despite a long UK purchase history). I think that chances of getting them to put you on the list at this late moment are very low. So low that I wouldn’t even bother trying.

However I do have a couple of ideas: the invitation is good for the invitee plus a guest, and you don’t have to tell Hermès ahead of time who your guest is (I would invite you to come with me but I am taking my bf and another friend wants to come if he can’t make it).

1. You could go to the Palais Congrès and try to make friends with someone going to the sale on their own. If you have lots of self-confidence and are lucky this could work. I suggest hanging around the escalator downstairs and asking a kind looking person on their way up (and hopefully security won’t run you off). I would call this approach a long shot (at best).

2. Your best chance by far is that someone reading this thread will reach out to you with a DM and invite you to accompany them. I have met many folks over the years on this site and taken them to the sale (however that was before it was invitation only). So perhaps someone reading this thread and attending the sale on their own will reach out to you and offer to help you out. It’s good karma everybody and it’s more fun to attend the sale with other people! Good luck!!!

Thanks for the reply, David! And if your fallback date cancels, or if anyone else here wants an excitable American around for a few hours, the kir royales afterward are on me!

Hi ! The sale is from this Tuesday til Thursday only.
Are you sure you’ll be able to make it?

Removed off topic discussion about meet ups, we have suggested parameters for those choosing to do so, but this isn't a meet up thread/discussion
