Birkingirl was sitting in the jewelry section for a little while. She was wearing a long black coat, along w/brennamom & MattG.
I was standing next to them w/my GF while she was gettin "hit on". I had on the Kelly Elastique Fluide scarf worn as a top w/a black skirt and lace booties.
What did you wear? Did you spot any of us? I spotted Dou.Dou. and we talked for a little while.

It was great to put names to faces, had fun, but OY the crowd!!
^^^^he was a big "talker" telling us he can get us anything in the boutique for 50% off. My friend flashed him her wedding band, but that didn't stop him from approaching us again and telling her to "fire her husband".
But turns out he did introduce us to an exec/VP of H....something Chavez. I remember him from the video of the opening of H on Wallstreet.
You should've told me about the Kelly Cut. I feel bad not handing it to you to play with. I love love love the color.
graycat5 - They ended up giving us a goodie bag w/ the latest LeMonde and an orange box wrapped with a cosmetic/toiletry bag inside. Shaped like the bolide. The appetizers were really good and served white wine & champagne. Very crowded and a couple of reporters/photographers here & there. The only "big" thing they had for the event was a red 30cm Croc Birkin w/diamonds.

I agree with Brennamom -- it's so nice matching faces and names!
It was really pleasant chatting with all the H salespeople. They all seem to truly enjoy evangelizing about the brand (I remember when I was buying a wallet, and the saleslady was explaining why H's quality accounts for the higher cost and it'll last years and ... Finally I just said, "You don't have to sell me. Hermès OWNS me!").
I did not realize that there was a rear entrance to the store though. They had 3 purses on display in a cabinet you'd only see coming in from that door, including one embroidered clutch.
And MAN did they pack the people in! It was so warm inside! I did hear only one tinkle of glass as something hit the floor -- I hope it was nothing that they were displaying.
(and serving mini-chocolate eclairs to people standing next to racks of $2000 - $3000 shirts? THAT is brave! If you're buying anything from the rack EXAMINE IT CAREFULLY!)

Just imagine if we knew somebody who could get us a discount. That will probably be my dream tonight.
