so i bought this bag from this ebay seller called GADZOOTS i received my bag yesterday night and when i check through the bag i realized that the tag inside has been snipped off!!! they never stated it in the listing and the worst thing is that i just realized it after i cut of the plastic tag...does anyone knows why this thing can happen? is it a manufacturing problems or does the seller is really legit? i'm really dissapointed for them trying to cover it up by not stating this info to their listing...how could this possibly happen? i hope i could get justice out of this...i'm willing to get a full refund...but i don't want this matter to go to bigger case...the matter continues as i bought this using someone else id cos i don't have paypal and i don't want it to grow to a bigger case because of this...i've attached the pic taken from a phone cam (sorry for the crappy quality) and the listing and hope anyone can give me the best opinion out of this issue..

I'll bet it was a sale item and the seller clipped off the "s" stamp- have you tried writing the seller and asking for an explanation? If not, I would write a brief note asking the reason for the clipped tag and why it was not disclosed in the auction listing. See what they say.

has hermes ever been on sale? i didn't know about that...but this sniping incident coudn't be from hermes boutique itself right? i felt cheated in some reasons...

The white paper tag hanging from the bag handles in the auction listing are the tags they use at the Hermes sale.

I have seen some Hermes sale items with snipped tags -- it is unusual, usually they stamp an S on the tag or silk, but sometimes the tag was snipped by Hermes.

I'd definitely ask the seller for an explanation and say that the item is not as described if that flaw was not revealed.

but is it fair for me to ask for a refund? till now the seller hasnt responded to me...so snipped tag do happen in sale? OMG it's scary!! first i thought it was a factory reject or something..i thought hermes wouldnt sell a factory reject items right?

the seller has replied and he said it was never cut before it shipped!! i was really suprised and upset at the same time, how could he said that??

email from the seller:
Thank you for your e-mail,of course return and I will refund. Now may I address your comment about the tag-no way did I cut it -it was exactly as I received it from the seller in France.
It is never correct to assume and accuse unless the facts are known and 100% accurate.

There is absolutely nothing suspicious about this at all -the item is NEW-it is 100% Hermes, you may not like the bag but that is another matter-it was exactly as described I did not, as you suggest say anything that was not factual-it had the a tag as I received and as I also purchased, I purchased a Hermes Tote bag which I received to my satisfaction-obviously it is not to your liking, which makes it your decision and I will honour with my normal integrity to refund,
I prefer customers to be satisfied and appreciative of the way I deal with buying and selling.Naturally sorry that you are unhappy but trust that this reply and willingness to refund without question or disagreement meets with your approval, sincerely Dr J

and i havent said that the plastic tag has been cut...that moment when i cut i didn't realize about the inside tag...i really crossing my finger right now....

The bag is likely a sale item, as others here have said. If you are not happy with it, then you should return it. As the seller has already said he will take it back, it seems your problem is solved. Good luck!

if you are not completely satisfied with it (NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU PAID FOR IT) return it to the seller. i can not do online shopping =( i am very picky.. even if i pay $10 for something, i must be completely satisfied, i can never trust ebay. i had one bad experience paying $400 for a vintage pucci scarf that was discontinued and it was not authentic when i received it, thankfully my credit card company refunded me my money once i shipped it back and i have never done online auction buying since =(

I have bought a scarf from him - difficult and argumetative seller. His is appalling at answering reasonable questions and very self-opinionated. I have a large collection of scarves and I will not be buying from him again, and most of the other UK collectors I know will not buy from him.

Sarastro, do u think i could get a refund?

Didn't the seller say in his email, which you posted above, that you should return it for a refund?.....

ya he did but i havent stated to him that the plastic tag hanging in front the bag has been cut, because i've cut it before inspect it clearly...i scared because of this he'll make it hard for me..
