Anyone else feeling overwhelmed with the new releases?

I’ve been buying a long time so already have a decent handbag collection. I’m finding I like very few of what’s coming out…mostly because Im not a huge fan of the large logo. The regular mono has a history to it that I appreciate but I already have several pieces and can’t see me buying more of it right now. But for newer buyers and those who do like the large logo, I can totally see how overwhelming it must be with so many releases (plus the increase in prices). It’s also become more of an effort to obtain the new releases.

I have been buying more RTW lately so the multiple collections do seem to overlap a little over the seasons. It is hard to get excited about pre ordering a thick winter coat and boots when it is 80 degrees and sunny outside. That’s how it is I suppose. As far as handbags go, I feel like I have gravitated towards more the fall/winter collections these past couple years anyways. While pastels and bright colours are pretty, it is not something I have a lot of in my wardrobe and I find them hard to style personally. The large giant print is also not my thing. It is not unusual for me to skip entire seasons/collections if the offerings aren’t appealing to me so in that respect I don’t feel overwhelmed at all. I don’t bother with trying to keep track of what is released and when. If I miss something so be it. There is always something new around the corner! While I may not always purchase, the new releases keep me engaged. It is fun to look.

This is so true! I agree with you 100% as that’s how I’m feeling too. Being unsure and undecided so by the time I decide it’s sold and I’ve missed the boat so I buy nothing
Exactly this! I am not a spontaneous buyer and always need time to consider if something is worth buying for me, and then it is usually gone :frown:. Oh well, it is good for my wallet though. Haven't bought any bags from the recent collections as they were all over the top for me. And pricing does not help either  .

Same here! It always feels like a hunt, a race against time. I would love to get something from the monoglam, but first I would have to save up money. Until I have the money (lets say in a half year) the collection is gone and only on resell market for double and triple the price….
Therefore it would be better to buy it on credit now then from resellers later

I don’t. I enjoy looking at all the reveals and excitement but feel no pressure to buy. The bags on my current wishlist are actually older releases.
I’m now thinking of a Montsouris in canvas. I saw one in person and really liked it. It would definitely fit my stuff and could be worn over shoulder as well. The newer stuff is just “meh” to me. It’s the big logo I think.

I totally relate! It's very frenetic with new releases.

I have been buying LV bags since 2005. I have seen so many styles come and go. Now, I feel they are coming and going at a much faster rate. I regret selling some of the bags i previously owned. I’ve always bought new from the boutique, but for the first time ever I’ve started to look at preloved bags in excellent to new condition because I miss the older styles. Especially in empreinte leather with the smaller logo. Problem is I take too long to decide and the bag I want gets sold.
