I still love MK. But it's been a while since they had a bag I HAD to have. There were a couple I liked so much in the past that I went out and paid full price for. Now I'm like, eh if I get on sale great, if it sells out whatever. None of the colors are exciting me a whole lot. I have been disappointed with the discontinuation of Sutton. Though I love Selma, I don't want to just buy this one style but it is the only one resonating with me at this time.

Maybe it is the summer and I am bored with lights and pastels and ready for some fall jewel tones  I wish we could get a fall preview like Coach does!

Anyone else?

I understand how you feel. Lately, I haven't seen a new style that really trips my trigger. My biggest drawback is that I prefer large bags & MK has not really been forth coming with new large bags.:blah: So lately, I have been looking at some of past years colors in large styles on the secondary market. Since I have always liked jewel tone colors, I would buy one of these if the price is right. I did buy a large studded Selma in the discontinued Malachite color last week for a great price. I don't own a studded Selma so this one will be a little different. It's already come through ATL so it should be delivered tomorrow or Thursday. I haven't really seen anything that blows me away in his higher end Michael Kors Collections either that will be in the size I prefer. I have started looking at other designers bags & have seen some that I will make the effort to see IRL.

Wow, in malachite! Must be gorgeous!! Please post pics of her when she arrives!

Here in Norway the challenge has been to locate other bags than Cindy, Selma, Hamilton, Jet Set. Most bags are in these categories with some exceptions. I buy most of my bags outside Norway or preloved ( but still new with tags) to get models and colors not sold here. This summer has been the exception as I have bought two full price bags; jet set travel Crossbody in blossom and lilac. If my heart doesn't skip a beat when I try the bag on then I won't buy it. I love the ability to own a designerbag that endures daily use without showing it. I won't buy high end brands like LV and pay 15000 NOK for it, for that sum of money I could have two weeks in Legoland in Denmark with my family. MK bags are both stylish and affordable. Since I started collecting MK bags I have become more picky and chooses only what compliments my collection and warderobe. I have 12 bags now, for every season of the year. Love everyone single one. I can still find breathtaking bags, but I won't run of and buy them as I did in the beginning.

My wallet is so happy for months. I don't see any new bags or colors that wow me or makes me want to run to store to see it irl anymore. I missed sutton I miss all summer colors. I find myself looking at eBay more and more wanting to get MK bags from previous seasons.

MK came out with some spectacular colors over the past couple of years. So far, this year has been a little lacking for me because I haven't been WOWED yet. He's done quite a bit with denim for this year but I have never been much of a fan of denim bags.

I'm MK bag content. Nothing has wowed me recently, and I'm still enjoying my "oldies but goodies" (Selmas, Hamiltons, Mirandas, etc.). I've recently veered off to Chanel land and just purchased a vintage black maxi classic flap in lambskin with gold hardware. It will be the first Chanel in my collection if all goes well. I usually go for black with silver hardware, but thought I should have something black with gold hardware in my collection.

Your Chanel sounds lovely, Ubo. Be sure to post us pics so we can see her. I love Chanel but I need a more structured bag for what I carry. Like you, I have been looking at some other designer; I'm still craving a Givenchy Antigona. LOL I'm pretty much MK content at this point. I'm really enjoying carrying what I have.

I will. I know what you mean about needing more structured bags. That's why I love all my saffiano leather MKs (Selmas, Hamiltons, Sutton) The Givenchy Antigona is perfect for that, too, and a gorgeous bag, except it seemed a bit too "boxy" for my liking. The vintage Chanel is actually bigger and more structured than it looks in the maxi size with the leather lining and single flap.

I have been feeling this way too lately. I guess I am not alone. I thought it might have been because I bought everything I could in a fairly short time frame & just burned out on MK. Or maybe it is the new styles that haven't really caught my attention, some are nice but I don't have that feeling like I need to have that now.
I've also started looking into other brands as well.
I am trying to limit myself to one bag a year going forward (& although the I met my self imposed quota this year), I was going to allow one more around my B-day.
I'm actually looking at the Coach Rogue.
I'd love a Balenciaga City but am so afraid to "allow" myself to spend all that $ on one bag, I'd open flood gates that I would just rather not.
I am enjoying my MK collection but don't feel the need to add more at this time. Honestly I really don't "need" another bag for years and am actually starting to feel overwhelmed by the number I do own.

Wow!! I could have written this entire post myself (replace Balanciaga with LV- except I opened the floodgates on holiday recently but firmly closed them after two purchases so I hope they stay closed!). The only two MK bags I have bought this year were a black Riley and Pearl grey Cindy- both from last year. I bought most of my bags last year and feel I have enough variety and colours to keep me occupied for a few years! I am definitely enjoying my current collection and nothing stands out at the moment. I love pulling out a purchase from last year that makes me smile- my mandarin sutton has done that and my next one will be the blossom hamilton!

Malachite is a great color! I wish I bought it when I had the chance

Arggg count me in! I still like my collection but do not want to buy another MK bag. I went over to Gucci and bought several bags and now I could kick myself for spending $$ on those bags. They all looked the same with the brown colors and print. I'm going to gift them to my mom. I'm back to carrying my MK bags. I have plenty to rotate!
